  1. I'm so happy as a Bears fan! We are acting like a real franchise! 1. Emery did his due diligence 2. We hired outside the box 3. We struck fast on outstanding OC, and ST hires 4. We are OK with the DC This is truly the most exciting off-season in a long time. I welcome all this change with open arms and a full glass of Lagavulin! Cheers! Bear down!

Hey all, Been a long time since I last posted, but I am on the site daily. My 2 cents regarding the hire (first reaction - I will have more later): First of all, I am indeed a fan of the Allouettes (Being born and raised in Montreal), but I would trade 100 consecutive Grey Cups (and throw in some Cups for the Habs) for one Superbowl ring. A few notes on Da new coach - When he joined the CFL, he wanted to prove he could be a head coach. He "lingered" in the NFL as OC, QB coach etc, but wasn’t inline for a legit shot at the main job. He easily could have stayed on it the NFL, and made a ton more money, but chose to go to the CFL to prove he can be th…

I heard someone call him "the professor"... I like it. Between him and Emery, looks like eyeglasses may be a mandate!

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/2468/bears-offense I thought it would be easier to put all the new rumors and news about the new coach into one thread. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I will update this portion as names come up: HC Prospects (13JAN): 1. Mike McCoy - Denver OC * 2. Keith Armstrong - Atlanta ST * 3. Mike Sullivan - Tampa OC * 4. Joe DeCamillis - Dallas ST * 5. Tom Clements, Green Bay OC * 6. Pete Carmichael, New Orleans OC * 7. 1-20: Trade down to (29) with San Francisco aquire 3-92, lose 5th ( with Barrett Jones and Warmack gone prior to 20) 1-29: OLB Alec Ogletree - Speedy, athletic freak with Football Skill to go with it 2-50: LT Lane Johnson - The run on OTs slows down, and bears get a beast RT or LT. Extremely athletic and a football player. Played QB and TE and apparently strong as hell (his arms are very long, so his reps may be about average) 3-90: OT/G Kyle Long - Pedigree, pedigree 3-90: TE Joe Fauria - stickin with this guy.. Just love his passion 4-116: G/C Braxston Cave - What a sweet name "The Caveman" 6: OLB/DE Brandon Jenkins - with McClellin being a #…

Gonna be an interesting week. I don't think I want Bevell as the Bears next Head coach, I am tired of exViking castoffs being on the Bears coaching staff. GM Emery has his 3 finalists for Bears coaching job Bevell, Arians or Trestman could be selected as soon as Wednesday After crisscrossing the country for two weeks, Bears general manager Phil Emery has moved to a final round of interviews in search of the franchise's next head coach. Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell has a second interview scheduled Tuesday, and Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians and Montreal Alouettes head coach Marc Trestman are also in the mix, according to mult…

Wow, SF and Kaepernick look good. Glad to see the Cheeseheads out of it. Now Clements becomes available, if Emery deems him worthy enough. GB doomed themselves by losing to Minny in Week 17. A win and they would've had a Bye last week and a home game this week. So much for Rodgers being the savior that can win any game on his own. Nothing can help a defense that bad.

One of the better Olines in the NFL, and how was it built? LT, Joe Staley- 6 years exp.-28th player chosen. LG,Iupati-3 years exp.-43rd player taken. C, Goodwin-11years exp.-FA from NO RG, Boone-3 years exp.-Undtrafted FA- projected as a RT RT, Anthony Davis-3 years exp.-11th player taken-Drafted as a LT The point to all of this is 2 #1 draft picks, 1 2nd, one UDFA, and a FA. Staley,Iputai, Davis started from day 1. Boones first year starting and Goodwin has started 5 years of his 11 year career You have to have high drafts pick that make it play on your line, SF has 3. Then you can fit in a couple around him. For us, if we drafted right…

It if funny how people were comparing Cutler and Griffin right after the Redskins loss, and how Griffin "toughed" it out and stayed in to play (even though he was completely worthless after the initial injury). http://aol.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2013...ee-acl-redskins They have to do a graft of his left patella to reconstruct the ACL in his right knee, which was previously injured and repaired. To me, this is a huge red flag. He is on his 2nd ACL surgery as a rookie, and the way he plays, he won't last very long in the league. He is not built like AP. To me, it was the wrong call, in the game, and for his career. They did not have a realis…

Miller and Gonzalez had huge games today. If I was Emery, the first move I would make after hiring the new coach would be to cut Kellen Davis. Peace
