Anyone else agree that this guy hasn't been the same since he is considered an "All-Star". Don't get me wrong, he could return like a beast, but since he got the contract extension, he hasn't done anything for the team. Call his TD yesterday a good play, but I could have sworn he stepped out, but luckily he didn't. Overall, we're paying him way too much to get -6 yards on returns. He seems to stop running, then run backwards or straight sideways and try to make a big return. Before, he would just run for his life and get great blocks and moves. I guess I'm just sick of Hester trying to be #1 in the media by his returns. Right now, he's looking nothing like he us…

Dear Babich, There is no such thing as a 15-step drop. No team, OC, or QB in the league practices this as a routine. The QB will never be back 15 yards from the LOS. Please have your DEs adjust their angles of attack accordingly. And while you're at it, have them twist or stunt every once in a while just to mix things up. Sincerely, A fan who's sick of watching the DEs run around the opposing QB

I haven't been on the Orton wagon, ever. The only positives I've seen from him were he isn't made of glass. His 2nd half last night reminded me of how bad he can play. However, over the course of this season, he actually seems to be improving. He almost seems to be moving towards being a middle of he pack to even proficient at times. If he continues to limit the mistakes and actually learn each week, I am thinking he may just work out. The big thing that leaps out at me at this point is time of possession. In recent years, our D wore thin quickly trying to play so many minutes.. Lately, it seems like we can actually put drives that eat the clock together and we have ha…

Many people at the time wanted us to trade up and snatch Flacco. Now, doing that, we probably would have been stuck giving up our 2nd round pick (Forte). Flacco looks good and so does Forte, and both look like they could be franchise players at their respective positions- looking back on it, would you rather have Forte, or would you rather we traded up and took Flacco?

So, we're 2-2 and with a little better luck could easily be 4-0. Certainly the two games we've lost haven't been due to the play of the offensive line. Or anything else Jerry Angelo could've done, for that matter. Philly put pressure on Kyle this week but it wasn't anything close to what they'd done the week before. We've generally run the ball well, also. And now we sit at the top of our division after playing 4 of our toughest opponents already and... We're a few weeks away from Chris Williams returning. Oh, how the internet fans cried. "We're doomed!" "Jerry screwed the pooch!" Meanwhile, the bendwagon is getting more crowded these days. If only yo…

from profootballtalk.com BENSON TO THE BENGALS Posted by Mike Florio on September 30, 2008, 4:12 p.m. At a time when the Cincinnati Bengals seemed to be the favorite to land 2005 NFL MVP Shaun Alexander, a native of nearby Florence, Kentucky, the Bengals threw the league a curveball on Tuesday, signing tailback Cedric Benson. The team has announced via a press release the addition of Benson. He’ll replace DeDe Dorsey, who has been placed on injured reserve. Benson was the fourth overall pick in the 2005 draft. The Bears dumped him after a lackluster 2007 season as the clear-cut starter — and after two alcohol-related arrests in less than a month. Th…

“Peanut is my guy and he lucked out that he doesn’t get to play against us, if he doesn’t play,” Williams said Wednesday during a conference call with the Chicago media. “He is a heck of a player. "He is one of my homies in the NFL, a great competitor, a great guy that I love to go against twice a year. So I am looking forward to the challenge. But if he can’t go, we are going to have to exploit the next corner.” Graham chuckled when informed that Williams had said the Lions would “have to exploit the next corner." “Wow, is that what he said?” Graham said. “That’s big. That’s the first time I heard that one. We know Roy’s going to be getting the ball if Ti…

It seems like the Bears have been in the lead all season, but only have a 2-2 record to show for it. I was wondering in the four games they have played this season, how many minutes have they been in the lead and how many have they been trailing? The Answer The Bears have led for 170:37 of 250:39 minutes this season, or 68.1 percent of the time. The score has been tied during 46:21 (18.5 percent) and Chicago has trailed for only 33:41 (13.4 percent). The Bears did not trail in Sunday night’s win over the Eagles and trailed in their other win this season for just :53 at Indianapolis. The Bears have led for 56:01 of 60 minutes in the fourth quarter this season.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,4230287.story I have two questions for this board. 1. Do you think what Williams has said will fire up the team as a whole on Sunday and 2. Should we go after Williams in FA if the Lions don't pay to keep him?
