I really don't know what to make of this club anymore. I just feel that the coaching, the iuneptness on offense, and the lack of adaptability on D is a death knell. THe only shining star of the team is ST, and even Gould managed to botch a kick. Have the planets now lined up agasint this team? Did Lovie sell his sould to get to the SB? I'm just at a loss. Not sure if it's because I'm interested in the way Pace runs his first draft or if it's because the Bears needs are so plentiful but this draft is the one I've been most anxious for in a long time. Probably also has to do with us having such an early pick and the bad damn taste last season left in my mouth. But whatever it is... I CAN'T WAIT!

The Bears are 5-3 playing at home (2-1), and the Giants are 2-7 (0-5 on the road), yet the Bears are only favored by 3? I fear that the refs will be heavily involved in this game. This shouldn't be a close game. Without Skattebo, the Giants leading rusher was Dart. So I would hope this makes it a little easier for the defense. I am going with Bears 30-17.

One thing I have noticed in seeing film on Cutler in Denver VS Chicago is his mechanics. At times his mechanics with the Bears are atrocious. One thing my brother picked up in camp is that he thought Cutler practiced lazy. In asking him why he thought this a concern; he simply stated "you practice like you play". My brother, being a qualified leader of men through many years with the Marines expounded his assessment by stating by going hard all the time, you get used to where people will be in battle and /or game situations. There could be a bidding war going on between Texans and Colts. For 2 to 1, the Bears should get the Texans 2nd (#32) and mid-round pick in 2023 or 2024. ...and Ron Turner is being made to look good by poor weather conditions and a REALLY stupid opposing ST coach. Makes me wonder: Is Turner the problem or is it a bad O-line? The O-line is performing well today and Turner's calls have been very good although conservative. I'm just enjoying some early holiday cheer and fun to watch football. As bad as our season was, the scary part is we're likely do have damn near all significant players returning. The only significant contributor likely gone is Wale. He might resign, but considering we traded for Adams and we're saying all the right things about Melton . . . As far as I can tell, that's it for significant players. Pace is gone, but he quit being significant. Vasher's proven to be a mediocre corner. Is it worth eating his salary now? Pisa might go . . . or not. Isn't Adriant Peterson a free agent? It's amazing that we'll have the whole squad back with most of our starters returning.
