This is a breakdown of the entire OL in the 1st half versus the Raiders and the grading system is as follows, [++]: Exceptional block showing good technique, physicality and finish. [+]: Good block that may be missing one of the keys from above. [/]: Stalemate or a block that does not do much to further the success of the play. [-]: Poor block that may or may not affect the play. [--]: Incredibly poor block that leads to the plays failure or a hit on the QB. Quarter 1 Play 1: Run Right [7 Yards] Bushrod: Good physical turn out of the backside DE [+]. Slauson: Physical surge into the backside DT and stoned him on the line and did not allow …

I have had several requests to lock the Webb thread so that it will roll off the page and we can get onto more important issues, things like the 2013 Bears and trying to make the playoffs. If anyone has major objections I can open it back up. Hopefully we can bury this and move on.

You know that whole Robbie Gould can't kick long field goals thing? 11 in a row over 50 yards tying an NFL record. 58 yarder - longest in Bears history. Not an issue anymore. Peace

  7. ABOUT LAST NIGHT: Cutty had his Jimmy Mac moment lowering his shoulder into the DB! Loved it! Hated it! But it all ended well. OVERALL POSITIVES: 1. We still have an opportunistic D. We are generally bending, but not breaking. Other than the odd big play, we seem to do fairly well keeping folks out of the end zone. 2. I'm thrilled with the OL! We went from awful to good. That's huge. Super huge. Ultra-mega huge. 3. Forte, Marshall, Jeffrey, and trhe Bennetts are getting the job done, and done well. The Unicorn has been a big big plus. I expected the WR's and RB's to look good, but wasn't sure about the Unicorn. I'm very pleased. 4. Cut…

I am really looking forward to this match up today. I respect Suh's physical ability but I comes across as a bully. Did the Bears draft Long in mind of playing the Lions twice a year. It would be great to see him locked one on one and kick is safe. I think Long 's strength and agility with is nastiness could end up with Suh taking cheap shots and being ejected because the bully boy won't have his own way.

That's where we are. Without an interior presence in the D line, we're not going very far this year. We'll only beat inferior opponents. To be able to beat the Packers and others we've yet to face, we need to improve this aspect of the team. Given all the injuries we've taken there, I just don't know who can fill that role. Yeah, Cutler had a bad start to yet another game. But when the gave him Alshon, he hit him. When other receivers were open, he found them. Marshall was taken away. The O line gave up more QB pressure than I'd like to see too. But NO isn't a shit team and we should've expected that. But I'll go back to the topic of this post, ther…

Consistently Briggs has been a great player. Really sucks to lose him. Get better Briggsy. This will give our young linebackers a chance to step up and get some development time.

Ok for those of you who have been to games at Soldier Field recently I have some questions. Dad and I are still planning on going, and I picked up a regulation clear plastic bag that meets the 12x6x12 size limit. The items I'm considering bringing: 1 small Sony camera with extra batteries and memory cards 1 larger Sony camera with a telephoto lens that is under 6" so it meets the guidelines. Several AA batteries and memory cards 1 backup battery for my cell phone. 2 ponchos (if it looks like rain in the forecast) 1 small blanket (possibly) Since your not allowed to bring a camera case, can the cameras, batteries, and cards be stored in the cle…

Could be bullshit, I have no idea. But this is the first indication that the Bears might be thinking about going the cheap route and using the cap dollars on positions other than QB. We've debated that extensively elsewhere and I'm officially on the fence. http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Bears-...-offseason.html Take it for what it's worth...

Well we hopefully will get the answer to the big question. Is the Cutler going to get that long contract? If he dominates I would think he gets a pretty good contract. If he plays like shit Im not sure what would happen. If he plays decent then I would lean to the Tag. Three options: 1. He dominates the rest of the games 2. Plays decent or a little better then the beginning of the season 3. Looks like crap, almost Cutler in the Lovie era (which im not sure is possible) What do you guys think will play out with each option?
