Of course there have been no links to the team, but I'm thinking what about Dan Reeves. This is the kind of guy I would like to see get hired for the offense. IMO, who ever gets hired as the OC is the coach of the offense. This guy has been there and done that. Last year he interviewed for the San Fran OC, so apparently he wants back in the business if he was willing to interview for that position. I think a true coach like him would be amazing for the young talent on offense.

Okay, a friend and I were talking about our picks, and what NFL players we might compare them too. Understand, I am not saying our picks will become, are as good, or will end up like those they are compared to. I might see similar traits, or actually feel the upside is comparable. Anyway, here are some thoughts. Jarron Gilbert The player that comes to mind for me is Richard Seymour. Gilbert is 6'5 290. Seymour is 6'6 310, but as I recall, Saymour was lighter coming out of college, and gained weight to play in a 3-4, which Gilbert could easily do. Seymour was always considered very athletic and very versatile. I remember the belief that he could play as …

So who do we draft as a QB to develop if Rex and Kyle fall short of expectations? Everyone seems concerned about QBs in the draft who have problems with mechanics, speed, agility, athleticism, quick release, Big School competition, etc... There have been many QBs drafted who had all of these attributes that flopped as NFL QBs. Ryan Leaf, drafted #2 in round 1 of the 1998 draft. Cade McNown drafted #12 in round 1 of the 1999 draft. How can we forget Rick Mirer drafted #2 of the 1993 draft. All of these QBs had all the qualities we have discussed necessary to become an NFL Star QB. But there have been QBs who lacked these attributes that succeed…

We've beat the #1 pick talk to death. Assuming we stay where we are at with no trades, who are you hoping for in round #2?

I've thought all along round #2 was the perfect spot for a 5 technique. We struck gold their with Goldman last year and the draft is much deeper. On a side note, Atlanta and Oakland both made deep reaches at safety in Neal and Joseph. i don't know what to think of that, but it helps the Bears in solidifying the defensive front.

Round #2 is pretty easy. There's 10 different guys I'd be real happy with in round #2. Who do we take in round #3?

I'd love to see either Roy Schuening (OG), Dennis Dixon, or Mario Manningham in any combination for the Bears. My preference would be a combination of Roy Schuening and Mario Manningham. That would be outstanding.

Most years I get to watch the entire combine. Either live or recorded. This year I didn't, so I don't have as good of a handle as normally. So... Which guys have risen on your personal charts? Mid round guys who might have moved to bottom first. Nobodies who are now mid round guys. And also the late round sleepers. Who's the guy the Bears should get with a big surprise?

2015 Denver Broncos Free Agents Wes Welker Demaryius Thomas Terrance Knighton Jacob Tamme Will Montgomery Mitch Unrein Rahim Moore Orlando Franklin Nate Irving Quinton Carter Julius Thomas Virgil Green Steven Johnson Aaron Brewer Tony Carter Brandon Marshall Ben Garland We could use a backup TE and all of there TEs are free agents--Virgil Green Brandon Marshall is a no brainer- a stud better than any LB on our roster Rahin Moore he wont command a big salary and is a competent FS We will not be making several big spending free agent signing, so those 3 would add some nice additions to our team with not great expense.

Our desire to get rid of Alex Brown was a suprirse. IMO this is purely money driven. I'm wondering if there's anybody else we're not thrilled with we'd consider dumping to save money. Here's a few that pop to mind: Olin Kreutz--His play has dropped off, he's getting old, and he's making good money. We've talked about Beekman could play. (although we'd need another guard) Devin Hester--He's making one helluva a lot of money to be a mediocre receive & mediocre punt-returner. He's a bad route runner which makes him a liability for Martz. He's been a bad return man for 2 consecutive years. Tommie Harris--He needs to look impressive during TC. The y…

Damn i was getting nervous, feels pretty good to not worry about the CBA. Who will be the first player targeted by the Bears??? Im thinking a DL. I would love a good WR but think it will be a DL. Tell me who you think they will go after first and who you would want them to go after first. Im thinking Cullen Jenkins= only cause there was a bunch of talk about it. I would want them to go after first= WR or OL....let me think about this player for a while and i will get back to you.

I have seen plenty of articles of posts ripping Cutler to shreds, and while I am NOT saying he didn't have a bad game, I also thought the receivers really made him look bad. Yea, there were numerous picks, and even more that could have been, but how often was it due to Cutler and how often due to the receiver. Some examples off the top of my head. Early on, there was a play which looked like an out route to Bennett, who rup upfield, began to cut, but then just stopped and turned around. I think that is called a button hook, right? Anyway, Cutler threw the ball as if Bennett would be running an out, and it basically went into (and out of) the hands of a DB as …

I would personally keep Clark around for 1 more year. McKie should have been gone 2 years ago instead of Lousaka Polite. Peace

Number one for me is obvious: HOU - Monster draft. Clowney is a stud. Su'a Filo is a stud. Both start day 1. CJ Fiedorowicz has a good chance of starting day 1. Same goes for Louis Nix. And for that matter, if this Savage kid has what a lot of people are saying, he might end up starting. If not now, maybe next year. The other 9, in no specific order: ATL - Very good draft. Matthews is a 10-year bookend, and Hageman is a DT with great upside. They needed speed in the defensive backfield, and Southward has it. I also liked Shembo in college. BAL - I don't care about the rest of their draft, but when they started Mosley, Jernigan, Brooks, it made that…

So who do you guys think are the winners and losers in this draft? To me, the Bears did well for themselves, but a couple of other teams did even better. Here are my picks. Best Drafts 1) Chiefs: oh man, they helped themselves a TON this year. Jon Baldwin gives them an explosive threat opposite Dwayne Bowe, and they're going to be able to throw all day in the red zone with those two plus Moeaki. Hudson was one of my favorite players in the draft: he'll be a great center. And their defense looks MILES better than last season. Houston and Tamba Hali are a scary pass-rush duo, plus Jerrell Powe and Allen Bailey add a lot of beef to their d-line rotation. 2)…
