Once again Richard Dent was overlooked for the Hall of Fame. Damn! Super Bowl MVP and a monster at DE. If Manibal made it Dent definitely should be there. Was this his last shot?

If the Bears are going to take a OL in the 1st I was wondering what type of Lineman do the people on this board want to get. Take in mind im figuring Ryan Clady and Long are gone before we pick. So the next highest rated prospects are: Chris Williams great foot work and technique excellent pass blocker can handle speed rushers very agile and athletic. or Jeff Otah monster of a man who is extremely strong and powerful knock you out your socks kinda a guy but raw with alot of upside. Basically are we going to be a pass crazy team or a "start running off the bus" type of team.

Nice article. Seems like we really lucked out with him considering we had signed Doug Brien in the offseason (good thing Brien sucked). http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/77...supernt.article Peace

Hampton: We would have pounded Brady By Barry Rozner | Daily Herald Columnist Published: 1/31/2008 12:14 AM You can't help but wonder about that 1 field goal. You wonder where the 1985 Bears would have landed in history if an errant blocking call hadn't led to Walter Payton's fumble in Super Bowl XX and a Patriots field goal 1:19 into the game. After shutting out the Giants and the Rams in the first two playoff games, had the Bears been leading 44-0 instead of 44-3, Buddy Ryan would have called the fourth quarter like he did the first three, and there would have been no New England TD. "I'm glad you brought that up, because I know Buddy would have …

I have many: Super Bowl win in 85 Hester punt return for TD @ Arizona Urlacher takes over the game @ Arizona Gould FG to beat Seattle Safety vs New Orleans Berrian TD catch vs New Orleans Hester opening kickoff TD in Super Bowl To pick one, I'd have to go with the Hester Super Bowl TD, just b/c at the time of the Super Bowl win in 85, I was 7 and I have a vague memory of it. What is your favorite Bears moment ever?

Listening to Hub on the Score. I know, I know. Hub is FAR from a liked individual on this board, but is it unreasonable to believe he has connections w/in the Bears? Anyway, he is saying that, according to his sources inside the bears, management sees DT as one of, if not the biggest need. I would love to say Hub is full of it, but I can't. Angelo has said from day one that DT is maybe the most important position in his scheme. At DT, we currently have: Harris - One of the best DTs in the game, but (a) is health a concern, ( he has one year left on his deal and Harris has already indicated he believes he should be among the highest paid defensive play…

There was an interesting article on the Chicago Tribune website entitled Scout Talk: Senior Bowl winners and losers that talked about the players who played in the Senior Bowl and which ones may be on the rise and which ones are falling out of grace with some of the GMs & scouts. One player we have discussed quite a bit in other threads was the first mentioned: A good article mentioning many other players, well worth the read for draftniks.

The National Football League is coming back across the pond. After playing a highly-successful game in London last October, the NFL announced today it will return to the United Kingdom for a competitive game in 2008 as part of the league’s International Series of regular-season games. Details about the game – including the venue and competing teams – are expected to be confirmed during Super Bowl week (January 28-February 3) in Arizona. RUMOURS ABOUND. The Bears are being metioned on message boards

If I was JA, this is how I would fix the team: Free agency: 1. Sign either Travelle Wharton or Jordan Gross, whomever Carolina lets go.-this is priority #1. You have to go all out for these guys. Either of them can play LT, so you can move Tait to RT. If that fails, go after Max Starks if Pittsburgh lets him go. If we don't sign a LT, then Otah or Clady has to be the #1 pick. 2. Re-sign Berrian if he comes at a decent price or sign Bryant Johnson. After Berrian we have no talent at WR. If Berrian leaves, what good will upgrading at QB do if nobody can catch the ball? A QB has to have weapons to be successful. 3. Sign G Ryan Lilja if he does not re-sign with In…

I'm interested to see what you would do in this situation: Ryan Clady and Kenny Phillips are off the board by 14. So are Brohm and Matt Ryan. You try to trade down but there are no takers. What do you do (and please let me know who specifically you would take): a. Draft Andre Woodson, QB, Kentucky b. Reach a bit for an OT (Jeff Otah or Sam Baker) c. Draft a RB (Johnathan Stewart or Rashard Mendenhall) d. Draft a WR (Desean Jackson or Malcom Kelly) e. Do something else I'm actually participating in a Mock Draft this weekend, and that seems like a reasonable scenario, so I'd be interested to see what people think. Personally, I'm tempted to take Jeff …
