The Bears have the 25th pick in the 2026 draft. Pass Rush is an issue, no starting Safeties, and a question mark at LT. They need at least 2 starters from this class.

A trade for an early 5th rounder. They got their guy who some expected to go at #122, at #144 so depending on the trade value, it seems like a great pick. It cost next year's 4th. So assuming they are a fringe playoff team, that pick is in the 120s for 144.

It was already considered a possibility, but w/ the report (from PFT) that Det is set to release Kevin Jones, that would likely put RB at or near the top of Detroits draft needs. There has been a debate on this board for some time between those who want Mendenhall and those who want OT. I am in the OT camp, but have to admit, I am not a fan of Mendenhal to Detroit either.

Massie looking like a terrible signing, Freeman a great signing. Robbie Gould may be missed more than we know. Any other thoughts?

1st Round - Pick #14 - Chris Williams, OT, Vanderbilt - With Clady off the board, the Bears had their choice between Williams, Albert, and Otah. These picks can be argued back and forth, but Williams seems to be the one most ready to help out this year. He is a stellar pass blocker (only 2 sacks allowed in over 1,500 snaps) who needs to improve on his run blocking. He only did 21 reps at the combine, but he can always improve his strength. Williams will always be compared to Otah and Albert. Reminds me of Tommie Harris vs Vince Wilfork.
