So what are your general thoughts on the trade? I think Indy got a steal getting someone drafted that high for what is almost guaranteed to be a late 1st rounder. If Indy was looking for an RB, I am surprised a team like HOU (Foster/Tate) or BUF (Spiller/Jackson) were not in on this type of deal. Cleveland was already bad and just got a lot worse, so I don't know what their motivation was to pull the string on a deal like this now, especially if IND was the desperate team. I really think this is something the team should consider for next yr. I believe he could be an all pro safety and allow us to cut strings with Mike Brown. The only issue may be his salary as he is being paid as a corner. Thoughts? Peace

That is the question. I have gone back and forth. On one hand, I do not want to tie up a ton of money into a player who I question will ever be a #1. On the other hand, can we really afford to lose him? So some talk about the tag, as have I at times, and I just got to thinking about the numbers. What sort of deal do we expect Berrian to seek? He turned down, I think, something in the $20m range w/ $8m guaranteed, which is about what we offered Randle El a couple years ago. So what is he looking at. This off-season my biggest cry was to fix the OL 1st. It was addressed in a big way with Williams, but has been ignored otherwise with a huge void in OG play. I can't help my disgust for how this team has treated Mike Hass. He can easily be this teams Wes Welker. Welker has gone through the exact same crap Hass is going through just to get his shot. These guys both have the talent and for some reason from college to the pros they were passed over. Welker finally has the stage to open up eyes and he has done so. Although he still has to fight for the credit. Mike Hass can be that same player. He is exactly the kind of receiver this team needs...Will he ever get his chance?? Just reported on SC the Vikings, Bears, and Falcons (I think ATL was the 3rd team) all want McNabb. However, a journalist from Philly says they will keep him 1 more year. To make the Eagles change their mind, what would you give up for him? I'd sign and trade Rex and trade our 2nd and one of our 3rds.

Archulletta is on the books for 730K this year. Do we keep him as a cheap backup or is he worthless to us? I have my opinion, but...

Just curious. FA is very near, w/ the draft not long after. Which aspect of the offseason are you all looking forward to more? Personally, I am looking more forward to FA. OL is our greatest need (not counting QB, where I see little major change), and is the position I think Angelo has seen more quality FAs added, while also being among his weakest positions in the draft. So much hinges on our upgrading the OL, and I think that will begin w/ FA. I am so interested to see how we attack the OL in FA, and believe it will have a major impact on the draft.
