  1. I seen several fake posts, I got excited about, now I look for two sources before I mention. My oline take: Jenkins and Jones will improve going into the new year. Whitehair to OC upgrades the position. Davis upgrades the LG position. That leaves the mysterious RT spot. Definitely will be a rookie. He will bring in a RT at sometime but similar to last year, later in the preseason. After cuts. If the rookie doesn't develop, the placeholder will be there awhile. Im not sure it will be at 9, maybe if he trades back12-17. At that point only Broderick Jones will probably be left. I think I will be at 54 or 61. Mauch, Bergeron or Jaelyn Duncan. Those are capable of starting as rookies. Growing pains, yes but the oline should be much better. I doubt Leatherwood is anything more than a backup, but a year around these coaches may help.
  2. So what do we do with pick 9? Using taknathon for reference 1) Draft the best OT in the draft. Whoever they rate top player, grab Paris Johnson, Pete Skoroski, or Broderick Jones. 2) If Jalen Carter drops - take him? The interview we have with him will determine that decision. 3) Take a DL there? Byran Bresee, or Luke Van Ness. 4) Left field pick, Devon Witherspoon/ CB Option 1 9) Paris Johnson/OT 53) Tuli Tuipulotu/edge or 3T 61) Felix Anudike-Uzomah/edge 64) Keeanu Benton/DT Option 2 9) Jalen Carter/DT 53) Tuli Tuipulotu/ DT 61) Felix Anudike- Uzomah 64) Jaelyn Duncan/ OT Option 3 9) Lukas Van Ness/edge 53) Tuli Tuipulotu/DT 61) Keeanu Benton/ DT 64) Jaelyn Duncan/OT Option 4 9) Devon Witherspoon/CB 53) Tuli Tuipulotu/DT 61) Feliz Anudike- Uzomah/edge 64) Jaelyn Duncan/OT Pick you lane or use Tankathon to vary options.
  3. That's a late round pick to boot.
  4. Foreman is the big back needed for tough yards .Tonyan was a needed # 2 TE to balance this offense.
  5. I think Ojenmuda could be a wild card as a starter on the outside and Gordon covers the nickel back spot. Definitely need to upgrade the position but could get by with as we fill other spots. We still probably bring in a CB in free agency that would be a starter but will draft a CB prospect also. CB could be a sneaky high pick in our first four picks.
  6. By the age group of players he signs , his SB contender projection is in year 2024 - 2026. This year will go along way to establishing the core. Next year will be to fill in the blanks .Tis can accelerate by Justin's development.

    NFC North

We have a ways to go but will be determined by the breakout of the passing game.
  8. I doubt they do but they have to check it out.
  9. We keep looking at additions to the roster but who on this roster that could end up being a starter that we aren't paying attention to? Dieter Eiselen/ C kellen Diesch/RT Jaylon Jones/CB Josh Blackwell/CB Michael Ojenmuda/ CB Travis Gipson/DE. Finally takes off Terrell Lewis/DE 4.69 speed There going to add a RT, DE, and DT, we will be fine.
  10. I loved Monty but Foreman actually had a better year in similar carries. 6'1" 232 can bruise people.
  11. I agree, time to fire Poles, he's had 14 months and look what's he's done? He never signed a high priced RT or an over paid 3T. Fire his ass. He should have obtained Barkley, Orlando Brown, JuJu, Engram, Juwaan Taylor, Tremont Jones, Hargrave, A good GM would have got that done. I'm glad you're here now, we have had to many optimistic people posting on here. Bring back doom and gloom. This is the best he could do at WR, pitiful.
  12. Plus no guaranteed money on his contract. Can be cut at any time.
  13. Twitter Bears gets stressed because he's not making the big signings but he systematically improving the roster back to front. Billings instead of Blackson. Walker instead of Muhammad. Homer instead of Evans. Tonyan instead of Griffin. I think his best trait is patience. He gives a value to every player and over pay for him. The only signing he probably over paid for was Edmunds. He's allowed one per season.
  14. These signing are sneaky good. These two can help keep blockers off our LBers. People go blah but these two were high rated DTs . They are not the game changers but that's what the draft will bring us.
  15. So you're saying you would be happy if we paid McG 87 mil and Dremont Jones 51 mil ? It will. prove to not to be a good signing this year but McG is very average. It would have been a upgrade for us. but bad value. We actually brought in a DL that had more sacks in less than half the snaps .
  16. I think he has a later OT he thinks can be a starter, maybe Cody Mauch, Matt Bergeron, or Jaelyn Duncan. He has the chance at getting a big blue on the D line with the 9 th pick. Tyree Wilson, Murphy or Van Ness. His ego has him thinking he can find talent later and still be good. ( Braxton Jones). I have read stellar reports about Duncan and Bergeron. I could be way off on that thinking.
  17. Have you ever heard of Akim Hicks? He was with 3 teams after 4 years before he took off. Some make it and some don't. They spend hours studying these players so I plead ignorance because I don't. Anyone you sign on the first couple of days are over paid, free agency is like that. He's easily between 15-20 as far as ratings. Do you watch a lot of football? Name the top 24 WRs? So is free agency over? I thought it was just getting started and we have 4 players in he top 64. This draft will net us. 4 to 5 starters. Last year he had 5 picks and no number one . He ended up with 11 picks and 5 starters out of that group. So far a B.
  18. All the top Free agent WRs are getting 11 mil a year. We have Claypool at 3 and a true number one at 17.5 apt, I think that's outstanding.
  19. Brown's going to the Bengals, just wasn't a fit here. Need mobile OTs. We just signed PJ Walker to the team. I wonder if D J had anything to do with that?
  20. They have a lot of talent there, they may do well.
  21. I think all 4 top picks will be lineman. The RB position will be addressed at pick 103.
  22. He's going to be on a roster. Doug Kramer is next in line to backup. Don't count him out quite yet.
  23. He's a wacko but like that he knows he owes nothing to media.
  24. He's all in , this is why he wanted a vet instead of drafting a rookie.
  25. Call it immaturity or whatever but he's a head case. Why invite problems on to your team. Hopefully he works it out.
