Walker the RB coach got fired yesterday. What's up with that?

The DL got better today and Sweat is a better run defender than Young. Its a high price but that frees up our top 2 picks to not have to grab a edge rusher. The top pass rushers will go in the first round so the second round pick may have been a pass rusher anyways. Sweat will be a better player than anyone we probably could have drafted. Also Minny and GB are worse today. This is going to increase our win total that will lower our picks, so that high 2nd round pick may be 10 spots lower anyway. As far as age , he is in his prime. Our window to win is the next 2 years by the moves Poles has made. Next year will be the year that Poles will be judged on, not this year so he needs to win. I totally expect Poles to get extra picks with one or both of those high picks so that will minimize the loss of the high second pick.

That sucks. Watch he ends up being a stud.

Hard to say on blue chip players, who would have thought Von Miller would be going strong at his age. Some last and some don't. I would say 2 strong years then no one knows. I would the next two years are our window if we keep Fields, otherwise we will see what his plans are.

This move tells me they plan on winning next year. The team is better today than one week ago, I dont think that's a negative. He will trade for more picks, you add a OC, another edge, Marvin Harrison, and another Safety. Also Sweat has 27 pressures which is a great stat.

Brian Mitchel, a Washington sports figure said that Sweat is more signable than Young. Young is a me me player and will ask for the moon. Sweat has only missed 6 games in 4 years for injury. Young has missed 23 games in 4 years. No one knows on how all of this plays out. We need more time to see what Poles actually builds here in his third year not at 1 and a 1/2 years. It would be dumb to think Warren didn't sigh off on this. Poles isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

We have to see how it plays out Claypool was a bad deal . Seen where he had 4.41 speed coming out of college and has 27 pressures so far this year. This makes the whole line better.

He said when he got here, he wasnt going to overpay for FAs. So many teams have over paid for vets and got themselves in cap trouble and release that player 3 yrs later. Once you overpay and get bite, its a long road out of that. I heard he offered to match Montys contract last year, but Monty didnt feel wanted here. Last year we were in on M. McGlinchy and he made 17.5 per year and has been bad. How would that look if we gave him 18 mil? Not good.

You can judge someone by the way they talk. Never once showed an ego, I grant anything he says in public means nothing but that you can get a certain impression from talking. You ever see Antonio Brown interviewed?

He has the power but what if Ben Johnson comes in and wants Fields? Or Harbaugh? I think by the end of the year , every thing will be clear and there will be no debate, just not now.

He is on the SCORE once a week and is a down the earth guy. I heard they offered him 13+ and he asked for 20+. They have to bring in a edge rusher this off season that they will have to pay 25. So by comparison , you pay a 5 sack a year buy 20+? He came here in 2020 when we had a pass rush and it didnt effect his TO total. Just not enough wow plays. 15 a year is fair, 20+ DOESNT WORK.

There are a handful of other QBs, hard to say who they value , but the top 2 have gotten the most press. Doubt he uses both picks to move up to grab that QB, he is still in building mode. I think he would just trade back , take McCarthy , Penix or who ever shows some talent.

A new coach will have input in the next QB or if we keep Fields. I expect Poles to do that quickly so they can form their draft and FAgency strategy . The third year will be the pressure year for Poles, he has to show what his rebuilding process has accomplished. He has to win games in year 3 . He created draft capital and cap space for next year.

Hopefully Carolina doesnt win to many games, if we dont get one of the top two picks, our chances of grabbing Maye or Williams goes down. Dont know how our draft position effects if we keep Justin or not. They may like others but think it changes how we look at the QB position.

I agree we are not good enough in the DL but later in the game we started blitzing and pressured on the line, the results were better. Coaching does matter.
