  1. Good to go until covid, took a year off, Then just came back for a paycheck. It happens. Why you up so late? I'm 12 ahead of you, it's day time to me.
  2. I think any of the top 3 OL prospects will come in and produce. Skon, Johnson, or Jones. I think their moving back from 9. The top OL , CB, or WR will be on the board and someone will want one. Also Levis may still be on the board. Jets, Green Bay, Wash, NE, TB all could want something. If we move back in the teens, Broderick Jones and Lukas Van Ness come into play. Could get a second or 3 rd to add to the mix. Remember the name Jake Andrews/OC from Troy. He has traits and could be added late rounds at center. We have met with him twice.
  3. I hope this opens, It's an article by Greg Gabriel about scheme fits. https://twitter.com/WCGridiron/status/1638208960623697921?s=19
  4. If he drops no way the bears pass on him. With everything going right for Poles right now, we may end up with him.
  5. If he lacks the intangibles, Poles ain't picking him at 9 whether there or not.
  6. The incident wears heavy on him with losing his friends. He wasn't responsible but he was there, traumatic experience for a young kid . The interview is the key. I think it's very possible, he will be there. How lucky will Poles be to get the # 1 player in he draft after trading back.
  7. His 7 players are: Anderson Carter Wilson Murphy Biden Robinson Peter Skoronski Either Devin Weatherspoon or Paris Johnson Jr tweet
  8. They will be drafted. Realistically the first 4 should starters or big contributors.
  9. Did anyone hear about Poles signing an edge? A guy on Twitter posted ( way to go Poles, 8.5 mil for .05 sacks). I never seen the guy post bad information before.
  10. I can see him giving Mooney an extension. A lot of WRs this free agency getting 11 mil a year, be a cheap get for Mooney going forward on an off year. 1 mi!pl
  11. Yes and yes. Him and Jenkins on the Right side gives you a nasty disposition. I've been watching a lot of tape on Donte Foreman and he is a good RB. Don't count him out as our leading rusher next year.
  12. Hard to judge rookies on first year production. Some do well most don't. I think his second year will bring praise. Including STs , if he gets 6-8 touches a game and has one chunk play a game. D's have to pay attention to him because of his speed. No GM hits on all of their draft picks, but if this is a miss, he made a wow choice with Braxton Jones. That's what everyone will remember. This draft brings us 4 starters , considering a rotational DL is practically a starter when they get 40% of snaps. He drafted Doug Kramer last year. He didn't do that as a filler pick, he wanted him. His draft profile states nasty attitude, football intelligence, above average athleticism, moves well in 2nd tier blocking. His biggest slam is upper body strength of which an elaborate off-season program can fix. He won't start this year but don't count him out going forward. In college he only gave up 3 sacks in 28 games, 9 pressures, and 2 QB hits. He could end up being a better Sam Mustifer story.
  13. I think they take the best DL available, Wilson, Murphy, Bresee, or maybe Van Ness. Poles thinks he's a OL expert. He found Jones in the fifth, so he's going to find a plum between 54-65. That area will find you choices of Cody Mauch, Mathew Bergeron, Jaelyn Duncan, or Wayan Morris. I don't know who is better but Poles does. I seen mentioned that Duncan and Morris fits the system. The only wildcard will be picking the top CB in the draft at 9.
  14. I think Ngakoue may come here but as a rotational end but only below 10 mil a year. Another option is Frank Clark on a one year deal but at Poles price. He's waiting for players to come to his value.
  15. I'm sure we end up not getting everything fixed. Later in the off-season players become available after the draft. With having money, that's still an option.
  16. Probably to move 3-5 spots gets you a three unless a QB is left to be drafted, then maybe a 2. If you don't move to far down, one of the top 3 will still be there. Broderick Jones is the most athletic and think that's who Piles takes anyway.
  17. Here's5 players we took interviews with. 1. Deslin Alexandre - DL 2. Jalen Carter- DL 3. Payne Durham - TE 4. Paris Johnson Jr - OL 5. Jaelyn Duncan - OL 6. Ricky Stromberg - OL
  18. Anything he didn't fix in free agency, he will address in the draft.
  19. I seen several fake posts, I got excited about, now I look for two sources before I mention. My oline take: Jenkins and Jones will improve going into the new year. Whitehair to OC upgrades the position. Davis upgrades the LG position. That leaves the mysterious RT spot. Definitely will be a rookie. He will bring in a RT at sometime but similar to last year, later in the preseason. After cuts. If the rookie doesn't develop, the placeholder will be there awhile. Im not sure it will be at 9, maybe if he trades back12-17. At that point only Broderick Jones will probably be left. I think I will be at 54 or 61. Mauch, Bergeron or Jaelyn Duncan. Those are capable of starting as rookies. Growing pains, yes but the oline should be much better. I doubt Leatherwood is anything more than a backup, but a year around these coaches may help.
  20. So what do we do with pick 9? Using taknathon for reference 1) Draft the best OT in the draft. Whoever they rate top player, grab Paris Johnson, Pete Skoroski, or Broderick Jones. 2) If Jalen Carter drops - take him? The interview we have with him will determine that decision. 3) Take a DL there? Byran Bresee, or Luke Van Ness. 4) Left field pick, Devon Witherspoon/ CB Option 1 9) Paris Johnson/OT 53) Tuli Tuipulotu/edge or 3T 61) Felix Anudike-Uzomah/edge 64) Keeanu Benton/DT Option 2 9) Jalen Carter/DT 53) Tuli Tuipulotu/ DT 61) Felix Anudike- Uzomah 64) Jaelyn Duncan/ OT Option 3 9) Lukas Van Ness/edge 53) Tuli Tuipulotu/DT 61) Keeanu Benton/ DT 64) Jaelyn Duncan/OT Option 4 9) Devon Witherspoon/CB 53) Tuli Tuipulotu/DT 61) Feliz Anudike- Uzomah/edge 64) Jaelyn Duncan/OT Pick you lane or use Tankathon to vary options.
  21. That's a late round pick to boot.
  22. Foreman is the big back needed for tough yards .Tonyan was a needed # 2 TE to balance this offense.
  23. I think Ojenmuda could be a wild card as a starter on the outside and Gordon covers the nickel back spot. Definitely need to upgrade the position but could get by with as we fill other spots. We still probably bring in a CB in free agency that would be a starter but will draft a CB prospect also. CB could be a sneaky high pick in our first four picks.
  24. By the age group of players he signs , his SB contender projection is in year 2024 - 2026. This year will go along way to establishing the core. Next year will be to fill in the blanks .Tis can accelerate by Justin's development.
