Things I learned today are; after week one Flus met with Claypool about his effort and informed him that he needed to apologize to his team or pack his bags. Claypool apologized and was given another chance. Last week, Claypool said he's not being properly utilized. He was not only inactive for the game. He was told to stay home. Flus started today, that Claypool will not be with the team this Thursday either. All I know now, is that he will traded, if not cut. I believe he's seem his last action with the Bears. ASHKUM BEAR Posted October 2, 2023 Report Share Posted October 2, 2023 Let's say the Bears do lose out and Carolina does too and they get the honors to draft Caleb and another blue chip (WR, DE, OLT, DT or CB). Do they sign Fields 5th year to control him, see if he grows and possibly increase his value? Or would you take a 3rd or 4th. He's probably just messing with you and could easily say it was me as I am more on the side of moving on than I am on keeping Fields and stacking the deck in the next draft. However, Fields will literally have to show he is the guy week in and week out AND win some games on his own. Until then, it may be better to part ways, reset the rookie QB window and try again with Williams. If the Bears win 3-4 or less, Fields is probably gone regardless. How did I question your loyalty by telling you that you wouldnt like someone praising Fields? i see the person i use to argue with all the time is still there, you like to go personal.
