Go Bears? Merry Christmas, it's snowing in Chicago. We win, guarantee a lesser draft spot, but save some face by not losing to a winless team. We also go undefeated in the division (AFC North). Mr. Ohio is already 1-0 against Ohio teams. Can he make it 2-0? We lose, become "the team that lost to the Browns", maintain draft position, and guarantee Fox's fate. I am just hoping for a bounce back game for Trubisky and hope that Gordon doesn't go off when our CB's fall down (which they will). Bears 17 - 13 We Flush the Toilet Bowl!

Things are a bit slow as we wait on the draft. I found this article on Favre's last hit and thought some others might like to read it. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/eye-on-f...ded-his-career-

Last week it was “Nincompoops”, today “Despicable”. Thank you Dan Hampton for your no-nonsense take on the current state of our team. Couldn’t agree more. https://www.google.com/amp/s/bearswire.usatoday.com/2019/11/11/bears-lions-dan-hampton-despicable-win-week-10/amp/

My pouting is over..if only momentary. I couldn’t stay away from this board indefinitely especially when I see Adam (and a few others) and I are agreeing on nearly everything going on with the Bears right now. And when I saw this article (below) from players past and their ... let’s say no-nonsense... response to yesterday’s game. I knew I wasn’t alone in my utter frustration! They speak my language. Still can’t say I’ll watch anymore games this year. https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/bears/ct-cb-chicago-bears-winners-losers-ed-obradovich-rosenthal-20191104-i3o3q7jscrf6bdm63ret3uhhra-story.html

We are 5 days away from getting the best QB prospect we have ever had since Sid Luckman. I am pinning this thread for Thursday's discussion.

The two stingiest teams in the NFL are the Bears and the Packers (146 points allowed for both teams). Granted, defensive scores can factor in, but what the hell?! I knew we were doing well but this surprised me...especially to find that the two top Ds are both in our division. The blank we put on the Dolphins helped I'm sure. http://www.nfl.com/standings Of course only a few years ago we used to allow closer to 10 ppg rather than 14.6, but it's still impressive even if our schedule does get tougher from here on.

Why were we putting Mack in coverage so often and leaving our first round pick on the bench? Put all the player mistakes aside this is one strategic decision by Fangio that I still can't figure out. If you want to drop 8 in coverage put the best 8 coverage guys on the field especially when Mack has a bum ankle.

We are 10 days away from the 2025 NFL Draft! Give me your top 3 players that YOU believe will be selected by the Bears if they stay at #10. I am going with Warren - TE (people have comped him to McBride, matchup problem, used like a WR3) Banks - OT (replaces Jones at LT Day 1) Grant - DT (If Dexter slides outside sometimes, DT is a bigger hole and needs to get younger quickly with Billings and Jarrett.) After doing what feels like a million different mock drafts, and looking at the needs of the teams in front of the Bears, it feels like Ward and Sanders will go in the top 9. Hunter, Carter, and Graham are the 3 positional players that I…

Good pick. Needed competition at outside CB tour pressure on Tyrique. Not a ton of turnovers but competed as well as anyone against Jeremiah Smith.

Not a guy I’m familiar with, but he was super productive last year, including some good sack numbers, and while I’ve heard questions about his athletic ability he seemed to test pretty well. You probably had one more spot in the LB corps up for grabs so this is fine with me. Sounds like a good special teamer and pretty smart player. I might have preferred Harold Perkins, but I have no beef.

Listening to sports radio this morning one would think the bears were the underdog. According to these "experts" the bears not only don't "deserve" to be there but that the seahawks should win here are some of the points they made. 1. Hasselback sees the bears defense very well and knows how to attack it. 2. If Hester hadn't scored the special teams TD the loss would have been worse. 3. The bears/cutler are due to have a let down. Here are the facts. 1. The only quarterback that "saw" our defense well was Brady. An 87.7% passer rating with only one TD does not make Matt the equivalent of Brady. 2. If we are counting "ifs" then what if we had go…

Bears traded their two 7th round picks (239 and 241) to move into the end of the sixth and take this guy. Born in South Africa and grew up playing rugby. Seems like he progressed finally a bit this year. Wonder if he might qualify as an international roster exemption which can sometimes be useful with a late pick you don’t want to lose. Heard the show say he can maybe play inside and outside similar to Dayo and Shemar. Oh, and I’d say he’s a pretty good athlete . . .

Wow, I am shocked he cracked the top 100. That is impressive because I felt he was being slept on by the national media. Very cool for him.

So looking up some different stats, I was shocked to find out that there is only one QB in NFL history to open their career up with over 4,000 Passing Yards, +25 Passing TDs, less than 10 INTs, and 500 Rushing Yards before the age of 24. Caleb Williams. I think he has 5 more games before hitting 24. So every stat he gets will stack onto this own record. He should easily hit 5K and 30 TDs by then. Crazy.
