  1. Started by AZ54,

I expected a very physical Steelers team to show up tonight on both offense and defense, especially the defense. That's exactly what we got. We had the game in control until we hit their punter and that ended up giving them a TD a few plays later. Yet on the road where the momentum changed in the home team's favor the Bears responded on both defense and offense in the 4th quarter and that is what good teams do. It's not all perfect, we're still missing a pass rush and we gave up far too many big plays on D. The Oline must get better at run blocking. Our first draft pick in 2014 will likely be a DT. Depending on who drops it could be a CB but I think DT…

Im not sure where the Bears started the season but our odds of winning the Super Bowl are 20 to 1. Looking at the odds? KC is 33-1,Houston 12-1, Denver 4-1 I think with Clady being out for the season, Denver has dropped a little with there expectations. We will see how they do against some of there tougher opponents, any more key injuries and they might not make it. I suppose you can say that about any good team thou.

So what are your general thoughts on the trade? I think Indy got a steal getting someone drafted that high for what is almost guaranteed to be a late 1st rounder. If Indy was looking for an RB, I am surprised a team like HOU (Foster/Tate) or BUF (Spiller/Jackson) were not in on this type of deal. Cleveland was already bad and just got a lot worse, so I don't know what their motivation was to pull the string on a deal like this now, especially if IND was the desperate team. Why not a 1st and a 3rd to compensate for the draft position? To me, the timing and value of the trade seem a little odd. I would be pissed if the Bears did something like this, especially i…

Just for fun... Looking at our roster now, what do you see as needs to improve our roster? Offense to obtain: the heir to Forte and groom a speed reciever and heir to Hester on returns a bookend TE to go along with Bennett a C Defense to obtain: a corner or two DL Retain/extend: Cutler, Melton, Tillman, Wooten, Jennings, Marshall etc... Not sure if we can keep Peppers

According to Scott Kascmar, NFL Writer, Jay Cutler is now 4th in the league among active players with 13 career GW TD passes. He is behind Brady and Manning but in front of Rodgers, Eli, and Brees. He also tweeted a chart that says with a minimum of 30 total games, Cutler is 4th *ALL-TIME* in winning percentage (51.4%) in games that are "kept close in the 4th quarter and OT" (he did not say exactly what 'kept close' is).

Does anyone have the Bears app? If not, I believe they have the same things online. Anyway, the last 2 weeks, I've noticed that the pictures they tweet of pre and postgame behind the scene things are really awesome. Last week, they had Trestman and Cutler hugging in one and shaking hands in another. From yesterday's, there's one of him and Cutler sitting in Cutler's locker just talking in what looks like a potentially almost-empty locker room. Another has him shaking hands with Jeffery. Check these out, guys. They're really cool. I really like this guy. I loved the hire because it was outside the box and I like it now. He could flame out. I don't know,…

To get myself to chill with all this 12-4 talk, I took a look at the Bears performance on defense. We're on a pace to give up 408 points. We gave up 277 last year. In fact, only 8 teams last year gave up that many points and guess what... Not one of them was a playoff team. You can sugarcoat this any way you like but if this trend continues, the Bears aren't going anywhere this year. I don't care how good Cutler and Forte turn out to be. The D needs to improve and they can start by getting a little pressure on the opposing QB.

Over 250 yards of passing per game = win. In today's NFL, offense wins games. I'm so happy the Bears got rid of Lovie and his offensively-challenged style of drafting/coaching. Long live Trestman!

Now that we're off to a better start than most (I) expected, what do you think of the remaining schedule? @ Steelers @ Lions vs. Saints vs. Giants @ Redskins @ Packers vs. Lions vs. Ravens @ Rams @ Vikings vs. Cowboys @ Browns @ Eagles vs. Packers

  19. Started by AZ54,

After a shaky start Martellus certainly looks like a great signing. His catch in the end zone (out of bounds) was incredible but the fact he was hurt, stayed in and still made more plays including a twisting back shoulder grab that only the best WRs make to win the game was something we haven't seen in years from a TE. Greg Olsen wasn't even able to make as acrobatic catches as what we've seen from Bennett. Only two games in and he's played a key role in both victories. Teams are going to have to pay more attention to him in pass coverage and that will open things up even more for Forte and Jeffrey. Speaking of Forte: He quietly had a much better day than AP w…
