With the shortened week, this is more about seeing what a few guys can do. Gordon and Velus Jones in their first action, Jenkins at RG and Borom at RT, Robinson and Ebner. Can Sanborn and Coley have another standout performance? With only 6-10 plays for the starters, which will probably equate to 4-7 passes for Fields. Seems like a small sample size but it will be nice to see if the updated O-Line with Jenkins at RG will hold up a little better for Fields.

There is a lot to like about this draft, of course we wont know for 3 years. White, a potential top 10 WR, stud with speed and work ethic. Marshall with speed, youth and wonderful attitude. Larry Fitzgerald type upside Goldman, an anchor for a new 3-4 will be the starter by the end of the year. He will end up being B J Raji type Grasu, a future Olin Kreutz, born leader and go to war mentality. tough and gritty. Olin Kreutz for his upside Langford, didnt like this pick at first, but could actually be our RB of the future. Has speed and work ethic. The Bears are tied for best record in the NFC and a half a game back over all. Yet, it feels like they are the 0-16 detriot lions from a couple years back, exceot feeling like next year will be the same coaches and front office. It just don't feel like leading the league and makes me sick looking forward to next year.

Pace admitted that he was trying to trade back into round #1. When this broke, it was around pick #25. I assumed it was for either an o-lineman or edge rusher, the two most glaring holes , which are also the most important next to QB. There were no o-linemen or edge rushers taken at the end of the draft. That means there's a good chance that the guy we were targeting is still available. Any guesses who it might be? If he's still there, I'm sure we are offering a 2nd and 4th rounder to jump up a few spots.

Bears scoring differential for the first 3 quarters: 30-6 In the 4th quarter: 17-35 So the team has allowed only 6 points in the first 3 quarters of the first two games (literally averaging 1 point allowed per quarter), but is giving up an average of 17.5 in the 4th quarter. So opponent's offenses in the 4th quarter (17.5) outscore our offense for the entire game (16.5). I just didn't realize how dominant our defense has been. GB didn't score a TD until after the 1st minute in the 4th and Seattle scored one 5 minutes in. Three weeks into the season...are people really that impressed with all of our new receivers. I know everyone just assumed we had all these great weapons in Burton, Miller, Robinson, and Gabriel, but do people really think we have special weapons? I think Gabriel is probably a guy we overpaid for, but Bears were desperate for more weapons...Burton seems legit...albeit haven't seen enough to make him great....and Robinson looks good and with more consistency between him and Mitch, looks like they could be better (need to see Mitch throw him some deep balls in a place where Robinson can make a play).
