Do you think that Benson has a chance at staying the starting RB? Who makes the team with these guys in camp. 1. Benson 2. Forte 3. Peterson 4. Wolfe 5. P.J. Pope 6. M. Lawrence Or do we try to sign someone like Barber from Dallas?

I've been seeing lots of mocks where LaMichael James from Oregon is falling into the third and fourth round. Would be prudent for the Bears to spend a late third on him if other issues have been addressed? For instance, what if the Bears had the following: 1: Michael Floyd, WR, ND 2: Janoris Jenkins, DB, UNA 3a: Nate Potter, LT, BST 3b: LaMichael James, RB, OR If that happened, I see three potential first day starters, and a great RB who could either fill in for Forte to give him a break or potentially replace him if the contract never gets sorted out. This is how we want Tarik Cohen to run but he's at home happy with his 4ypc. I'm not saying we should draft Taylor because his pass protection isn't that good and he's undersized so his pass catching radius (like Cohen's) isn't the best but he's a tough runner who will get north/south very quickly and he's not afraid to knock a defender down. He runs a 4.61 forty at the combine but his film shows he's faster than that. With that slow time he'll definitely be available on Day 3 and possibly even UDFA.

First time I ever setup a poll so if this doesn't work right I apologize. I will leave this up for a couple days to collect the votes. If there is not a clear winner (i.e. one player with 50% of the vote) I'll post a final poll with only the top two or three vote getters. From that the winner will be our draft choice. Pixote will be the honorary GM for this. He gets to vote as well but if we have a tie at the end, as GM he will make the final decision on who we draft. On draft day I'd have taken Alec Ogletree and that is where my vote is.

I have two Rd 2 WRs I like: Jalen Reagor and now adding Brandon Aiyuk to my list. Both are very similar body types and similar athletes with speed to go the distance any time. More importantly both are good receivers. Either would really help open up our passing game.

This is a mock looking at team needs after FA signings as of Monday. We have a good shot at either Andre Smith OT or MIchael Oher OT and then a good chance Robiskie/Nicks is available at RD2. I have mentioned my opinion on players on other posts, but might as well put it all in one spot. offense: QB Cutler, he is who he is, a 15-20 rated QB prone to TOs. I think the only reason he will be around is because there is not much in options. Fales, anybody here think he is a future star? I've seen several mention the hope that the Bears do not reach on draft day. This is especially true with the first round pick. Made me think of the following question: Would any of these guys be a reach? Tyron Smith Anthony Castonzo Nate Solder Mike Pouncey Gabe Carmini Derek Sherrod If the answer is yes, then it's a bit of surprise to me. But that's player evaluation for you. People disagree. If the answer is no, then there is no reason one of those guys shouldn't be available when the Bears pick. And the guy who they have rated the highest should be selected.
