Was reading on PFT that with the QB in place, they will be going after Jackson big time. If Snyder wants someone, I think he will outbid us for VJ.The only thing we have going for us is being a better team.

Last year the home run would have been Jim Harbaugh but Warren had a problem with him in the Big 10. So we got Flus back. To me, Johnson seems like a Mcvay or Shanahan type of hire. Did destiny have us go thru a reset year to get us to the right Coach and drafted QB? Had we had a winning season, Flus could still be here. I'm going with the Bears God lined the Stars for this union to take place. Instead of talking about winning seasons, I think we are going to be talking about how many SBs did we win 10 years from now.

I know I made note of this in another thread but I thought it deserves it's own thread. Herring and Pasquanelli, who will be the DL coach, worked together in the same roles on the 2010 Cowboys team. Both guys have been strictly 3-4 guys in the NFL. I like it....Bears might not have Wade Phillips but they got 2 of his disciples on the staff.

Watching the NE vs DEN game, holy hell those teams look like crap. Maye has 55 yards passing thru 3 quarters and 3 sacks. Whoever wins the NFC will crush either of these teams. So many what ifs for the Bears. They had a legit shot if they beat LA.

I took a look at the roster and moves the team has made since the end of the season to see where the holes were in the 53-man roster to see where they will look next. Based on that, here are some positions they will address: 1. Safety - The team lost HHCD, McManis, and Houston-Carson this offseason, 3 of 5 opening day safeties. I think they have a chance to bring back Houston-Carson, and maybe even McManis, but right now the team is down 3 safeties, the most of any position group on the team. 2. OL - The team lost Long, Lucas, and Larsen from the opening day roster, but eventually gained Bars. However, the team is down at least 2 OL right now. 3. ILB - The …

Right now, with current records, we only have one game vs a prospective playoff team (LAR), and 3 games against potential playoff teams (GB and MIN x2). If we split the division and go 3-2 the rest of the way, beat the teams with 2 or less wins (BUF, SF, NYG) and lose to LAR, that's 6-3 the rest of the way without too much stretching. Week 9 at BUF (2-5) - Bills are coming off a MNF game and a short week. They have scored 81 pts on the season in 7 games. We should and need to dominate this game. After the first quarter of the season, we are through the toughest part of the schedule, which was expected. Most had us at 1-3 after 4 anyway. Now it seems like we shift into an easier quarter of the season, currently scheduled to play teams with a combined record of 5-10. We should at least split, if not go 3-1 in the next 4. That would put us between 3-4 at the halfway point. Then we go into a tougher quarter playing teams 11-5, and 1 win seems to be the most realistic outcome (though we could split depending on what STL team shows up). Then we get into the final quarter against teams currently 5-10 again like the 2nd quarter. To me this sets up for 7-9 wins and…
