Watching ATL at SF. It seems like on every play, the receiver who catches the ball is WIDE open. Where are the defenses this post season?

The defense has had posts all over the site, so I would like to know exactly what you would do? So you're saying there's a chance? Brees not playing, Kamara may be limited? Early line has us favored by 3, so we are even on a neutral site. For as good as NO's record is, they have been very inconsistent. The team has scored over 30 3x, and 13 or less 3x. No in-between. On defense, the same thing. They have allowed 24 or more 4 times and 10 or less twice. All 5 of their wins have been by a TD or less, so they are in close games all the time. Their point differential is only +6 in 6 games, which is fairly pedestrian. I think we rebound and come out of the bye with a win at home. We need this game a lot more than the Saints do. I am thinking the Bears 16-13.

Williams is clearly the LT of the future, but after a injury-plagued first year, it makes some sense to have him at RT, learning and watching one of the best in recent years man the left side until he's ready to take over. Sounds like the Bears are making a real push.

I have to believe we made this deal w/ the intention of keeping him long term, which means a new deal. While he is not due to hit FA for two more years, you gotta bet he wants to be paid. Now we can utilize that huge amount of cap space. It will be very curious to see just how big of a deal he gets, and further will be interesting to see the "bears are cheap" response when we give him a deal for likely $30m guaranteed.

1. Cutler has to play better against Philly if they want a big win there. He had a lot of passes that were iffy. 2. Roy Williams is starting to play better. That's a great sign. 1. Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama --Assuming the Bears are selecting in the 20's, this guy would be a great pick. It's clear that Rachal isn't the answer. Spencer sucks. Louis is in a contract year. At 6'4" 320, Warmack is arguably the best OL on the best team in college football. 2. William Gholston, DE, Michigan State --The Bears have never been shy about selecting DL, and why would they? Melton's in a contract year, Peppers has been silent since week 2 it seems, McClellin is getting there (slowly), Idonije is old, and Wootton could get hurt at any time. So Detroit just signed Larry Foote, formerly of the Steelers. He's still pretty young (29) and a great player; the Steelers just didn't have the cap room to keep him, and his backup (Lawrence Timmons) played well and is cheaper. Barring something incredibly unforeseen, Foote will be the Lions' starting Mike linebacker this season. I'm starting to get a little worried about Detroit. As we sit here three weeks plus after the firing of five offensive coaches and announcing that we are going to bring in a new defensive coordinator, does it seem that this team is getting more and more chaotic and being a total laughing stock within the NFL? There has been a lot of speculation on why the Bears have not hired any coordinators and hired only Mike Tice at this point. One thing I have noticed in seeing film on Cutler in Denver VS Chicago is his mechanics. At times his mechanics with the Bears are atrocious. One thing my brother picked up in camp is that he thought Cutler practiced lazy. In asking him why he thought this a concern; he simply stated "you practice like you play". My brother, being a qualified leader of men through many years with the Marines expounded his assessment by stating by going hard all the time, you get used to where people will be in battle and /or game situations.
