Let's say the draft unfolds like this (unlikely maybe, but not unthinkable): 1) Dolphins - Jake Long, OT, Michigan 2) Rams - Chris Long, DE, Virginia 3) Falcons - Glenn Dorsey, DT, LSU 4) Raiders - Sedrick Ellis, DT, USC 5) Chiefs - Matt Ryan, QB, Boston College 6) Jets - Vernon Gholston, DE/OLB, Ohio State Or something like that. So, at #7, both Darren McFadden and Ryan Clady are available, and the Patriots are more than willing to move down. Jay Cutler is better than any free agent quarterback. The problem is he sucks and everybody hates him. So we could overpay for Mike Glennon. We can resign Brian Hoyer. There are a bunch of other mediocre QB's available--none of which would be an upgrade. If we take a guy at #3--it will be a reach and they won't be ready to play effectively this season. If we take a guy in the 2nd round--it'd be an even bigger project. We will likely do some combination of signing a bad QB and drafting a bad QB. Either way, for the immediate future, we are screwed at QB.

While I still question the police tactics on the boat, I think Benson blew it on the recent situation. Whether he was drunk or not, whether he should have blown or not, whatever. I don't care if the Colts suck on defense. Howard is the real deal. Strong runner, great vision, good cut-back ability, forward lean, fast enough to get to the second level and exploit a hole for big gain, solid pass-catcher out of the backfield. I really like this kid.

This guy was ranked the 3rd best FA S by walterfootball, and from what I've heard/seen, he still has not been signed. I'd love to add this guy for about 4 years, $16 million, which could essentially save us the need to draft a S in round 3.

This will be the nationally televised disaster that gets Flus fired. That is my hope at least. I honestly thought we could not get a worse coach than Trestman, but the Bears have hit a new low with Eberflus. What an absolute joke and fraud of a coach. His limit is as a Defensive Coordinator.
