Bears turn around and trade a 2nd round pick for WR Chase Claypool! Bears to get Chase Claypool in trade with Steelers Good move, IMO. Chase has caught 32 passes for 311 yards and a touchdown for the Steelers this season despite having an unstable QB room. He will be a great addition to help Fields. I had the Bears at 1-2, so as long as they can rattle off 4 straight wins (CAR, DET, MIN, TB) and go into the Bye at 5-2, I won't mind. Anything less will be a complete failure.

Tell us who you like on this list and how they fit the bears needs or what role they could have? http://www.footballsfuture.com/freeagents.html 2009 NFL Free Agents By: Greg Davis Top Quarterbacks Kurt Warner, UFA, Arizona Cardinals The former MVP and Super Bowl winner is having a resurgent season in Arizona. Evaluation is even hard for experts whose jobs are on the line for their choices. Only 59% of the first round become starters. that's a high miss rate. 29% are busts. At the SB this year there were 38 UDFAs on the the two teams rosters. the point is it's hard to know where the players are coming from but the bottom line is evaluating talent. lets look at Paces drafts 2015 White-- has been injured but still has #1 WR traits. If he stays healthy we will know this answer. Goldman-- big time player with some injury issues Grasu-- may still be OC of this football team Langford-- an NFL player but is not a star Amos-- an average SS but not a bust by any…

  8. I'm doing this to see just where everyone is at in terms how they view the Bears' WRs. I go back to the 60's and have actually saw Johnny Morris play but taking him out of the equation I'm hard pressed to find a guy who I could say is second to Morris. We have had tandems or individuals that have had great seasons but if you twist my arm here is where I would go with rankings after Morris: 1 Dennis McKinnon he was a smaller version of Hines Ward and would block just as good as he would catch the ball. 2. Dick Gordon he was one of the other players that came from the 1965 draft that netted Sayers and Butkus. His flamboyant lifestyle was his downfall but he did a…

For those potentially interested in him as a FA... Furrey is out there. They released a few other guys, but no other name seemed of interest or was recognizable to me. There was mention of a safety, but I couldn't remember the name.

  10. It only shows that upper management needs changing. Im not sure how the management system is structured. I would hope it goes something like this Players answer to Asst Coaches Asst Coaches answer to Trestman Trestman answers to Emery Emery answers to Phillips and Phillips answers to The McCaskey clan. From years of following the Bears I would not be surprised if there is really no one in charge. How could George McCaskey not walk into Halas Hall so pissed off that he himself takes Tucker into a room and fire him? After 2 of the worst losses in Bears history, how is the response that we need to continue to work hard. That's it, …

They are coming in. LS Patrick Scales - sort of surprising, I thought he had the job locked up, now it goes to Aaron Brewer. OL Jason Weaver - They obviously like Adams and Silatolu TE Tony Moeaki - sort of surprising as he played pretty solid in the preseason, with him gone Lasike makes it as a FB. WR Daniel Braverman - could still make the PS, but based on his performance, not a lot of good tape CB De’Vante Bausby - damn I really thought he had a chance, I think Glenn's experience pushed him out, hopefully he ends up on the PS. WR Marc Mariani - I am actually surprised here, thought he would stick around due to ST. Now it looks like it will…

Bears made the trade finally. They will get a draft pick compensation, which is unknown right now. Sounds like they are flipping some picks. Wheeling and dealing continues: Bears are trading TE Martellus Bennett to Patriots for draft-pick compensation, league sources tell ESPN.

Assuming it all goes well, all the realistic breaks happen for the Bears, what's your dream draft? I'm basing mine off of the idea that the Bears: A-Will not trade down B-Have 7 picks and need 7-8 positions (DE,FS,CB,TE,WR,OT,QB,OLB) C-Myles Garrett will not make it to #3 1. Jonathan Allen, DE, Bama - He makes the front seven scary. His addition makes both McPhee and Goldman more dangerous, and frees up LBs to do damage. 2. Ryan Ramcyzk, OT, Wisconsin - The run on "exciting" players and QBs causes Ramcyzk to drop right into Chicago's lap. Perfect name for a Bear. 3. Obi Melifonwu, FS, UConn - It's hard to say if he goes in the 2nd or 3rd, but many …

http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune....k-in-draft.html Personally, I would love the pick (Assuming he is there at 18). Would of gone top 5 last year if he came out early. Williams and oher as ends for the next 10 years...thats how you solify an oline and an offense. Just food for thought. Hypothetical: If Sanchez and Oher are both available at 18 (would never happen, thus HYPOTHETICAL) who do you take?

Since we get to look at the draft now here is what I would have did. Round 1: I would have traded down with Atlanta getting an extra 3rd. Emery said we had the chance but trade value wasnt there.Since I still think we needed to go OL. Kyle Long/OG Round 2: I would go with the best rated LB instead of Bostic Arthur Brown/LB Round 3: We got this pick from Atlanta, would fit in as our NB right away and also is a good KR,PR giving us the option to cut Hester. B.W. Webb/CB Round 4: Green was a good value here and would stay with that. K. Green/LB Round 5: Go with another need here. J…
