Between the draft and FAgency we need several spots to upgrade. We cant fix everything in one season,so these are the positions I think immediate upgrade. OL-I think we need to grab a 1st round OT, there seems to be 5 listed as 1st round grades, but will need more research to pinpoint what valve that will be at with the 20th pick. I also think we need to bring in a OG,OC in FAgency to add to the mix. Lance Louis will need to be resigned then possible names to go after Levirte-Buf (bright future) Valquiez-SD (a younger guy with some upside) for OC spots-Faine-Cinn or Koppen-Den would come from 2 stong Olines. TE-I think we can grab one in FAgency …

It may not be the most popular route to go, especially because Fields is such a great leader and teammate, but this group has won 10 games in the last 34. A 10-24 record. Fields is 8-22 in those games and 10-30 overall. This is not a tough decision. There is no way Fields returns. For Flus, you have to win the Division before you do anything else. He is 2-10 in the Division. I could care less about the improvement. It was clear it came from player acquisition and health, not some Flus magic. The Sweat trade and the players coming back from injury turned the defense around. Playing CAR, ATL, and ARZ helped. Also playing MIN with Dobbs. They are 1-3 in the last 4 game…

It was already considered a possibility, but w/ the report (from PFT) that Det is set to release Kevin Jones, that would likely put RB at or near the top of Detroits draft needs. There has been a debate on this board for some time between those who want Mendenhall and those who want OT. I am in the OT camp, but have to admit, I am not a fan of Mendenhal to Detroit either.

1. Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama --Assuming the Bears are selecting in the 20's, this guy would be a great pick. It's clear that Rachal isn't the answer. Spencer sucks. Louis is in a contract year. Alright so let me first say that I hate/never believe people when they say I had a dream about a draft and think its silly. Well last night I did indeed have a dream about our Bears and the key piece of that dream was my boy Jesse Williams. We were in the super bowl, down by 6, inside 2 minutes, and we had the ball 4th and 1 near mid field(against the Broncos FWIW). Fishburn and Durkin in the athletic had some interesting ideas. They say to sign Keenum, 1 yr 5 mil Golden, 1 yr 6 mil Trade the 4th pick to ravens for Hayden Hurst (the idea that he is 3rd string in Baltimore). Was a first round pick and has big upside at 3 mil. Kevin Johnson/ CB 2 yr 7 mil ( played well at buffalo last year) Halapoulicaati Vaitai OT 3 yr 24 mil. Backup at philly that would play RG this year and take a OT spot in future. As every draft, the picks do not line up with our expectations. Maybe it is having the NFL draft at our fingertips and running simulations and reading on prospects programs us to expect something different. Looked at this comparison in another thead, and just love the comparison. Looking at our roster compared to SDs (offense) I think this is a team we could use as a measuring stick. Rivers - 4,000 yards and 34 TDs. I see no reason to believe Cutler isn't just as good as Rivers, and has shown the ability to put up similar numbers. Gates - Their top receiver is not a WR, but a TE. I am not saying Olsen will be equal to Gates overall, but Gates numbers last year (60-700-8) are not on a level I think out of Olsen's reach. 5 more catches. 125 more yards and 3 more TDs.
