Maybe Emery took a look at the complaints about him interviewing so many candidates and decided to stick it to the critics, LOL. Hey, it does not hurt to interview as many as he wants as long as the process does not allow the one we really want to sign with someone else first.

He said basically that the players (OTs) who remained of the board at the time we traded up to get Jefferies did not prove to grade out better as OTs than Webb & Carimi this year. There was one he said graded out a "little bit" higher. This, IMO, was not an endorsement of our OTs, just trying to excplain the decision to go Jefferies instead of OL. I went back and listened again to the portion of the news conference that Emery held discussing the offense, the OL, the reason we went with Jefferies instead of OT in the second round, etc... It is my favorite part of the one hour conference held on Tuesday. Emery, IMO, showed such knowledge in the 18 minute segment that I was blown away in the detail and rationale of his moves last year in the off season. This guy has his eyes wide open! He fully understand and acknowledges our need to: Improve out OL Get more play makers to help our offensive production, especially in "mid field". I think this speaks volumes as to why we seem to be targeting HCs prospects with offensive backgrounds. I think this is going to be a very interesting off season for us who wants to see us become a better offensive team while holding our own on defense and special teams.

Melton could not play DE in a 3-4. Assuming we are able to resign him, where would he play in a 3-4? I do not want to see us rebuilding the entire defense for the next 2-3 years. I want success this year! I think that is what Emery was also getting at when he suggested it would not be his first choice of moves to make.

I agree with everyone who has watched / listened to the press conference. Emery was very impressive and answered all questions presented to him with good solid responses, detailed and direct. I came away very confident that he has total control over the situation.

The pass interference play going down the field was a bad call. If anything, Rice was guilty of Offensive Pass Interference. The ball was clearly intercepted in the end zone by the Packers. No question. Tate never had control of the ball, never. Really bad call. Then to make it even worse, they review the call (which was a call not reviewable) and still get it wrong. Hey guys, I love it when the Packers lose, I am as big a Bear fan as any of you. But the Packers were ripped off, plain and simple. They should have won. If these same plays were involving the Bears costing the Bears a victory I assure you the views in this thread would be entirely different.

Out of frustration I called Comcast. I saw they had the NFL Network offered. Separately it would cost 6 payments of around 40 a month. No way I can afford 240 dollars for the network. To upgrade my package to include the network would have cost me 60 a month, that is even worse. I then found out I could add a sports and entertainment package for $8.95 a month, no gimmicks or escalating fees, and not only get the NFL network but also a whole host of additional channels. On my Comcast lineup it shows channel 50 as Toon Network. When I check for My50 or WPWR I am coming up blank. Researching it I saw WPWR (My50) is on Channel 8 on Comcast. When I check Channel 8 on my Comcast it says it is CNN I am totally lost.

This really sucks. I switched from DirectTV to Comcast to get a bundle and save money, things are tight right now. I figured the TNF game would be telecast locally. Now I cannot find it listed anywhere except for NFL Network. I cannot believe I will not be able to watch this game.

He is simply a competitor, a gamer, and wants to score TDs. I read the article again, had read it before, and I think the only negative was the headline designed to catch a readers attention and fabricated by the author to do so. Forte was very complementary of Bush and I see no reason to over react to what the writer is trying to drum up. I think Forte is a happy camper.

As far as I am concerned, I do not want to see the starters on the field for 1 play, we are pretty healthy compared to many teams, lets stay that way.

I think the moves that brought Marshall and Jeffrey to the Bears would have still happened if Knox had not been injured. I do agree that if Knox had not been injured, there would have been no need to pick up Weems and Thomas, one of which will probably replace Knox for 2012 and the other will likely be cut do to the numbers game.

I think he will play again, but after such an injury, a year off may be wise. We have plenty of talent in our WR group right now and although I love this guy on the field, I want him to get 100% physically and Mentally before trying to come back.

He does have a history of establishing a "penciled in" starting 5 early, usually before or shortly after the first preseason game, to try and establish some chemistry between the players before the season starts.

When is the draft? I have been busy but I use to enjoy this FF aspect a lot and maybe I can free up some time. I certainly cannot get "into" it as deep as I use to, spending hours a day doing research, but would be an active member if I decide to come back in. Give me some details and I will let you know.
