  1. Feeney will be OC next year with a drafted rookie, I said it here first.
  2. How they finish the game is what will matter on both sides of the ball.
  3. agree with that, no matter how you want to state it, its about doing what you need to just win games. He wont be judge on every single play.
  4. Edmunds will play today. I think this is the first time the D has been full healthy.
  5. I watched a replay of Ravens destroying the Lions. Montgomery didnt play in that game but we have one thing in common with the Ravens , a QB that can run. If you watched the game, Justin can do everything Jackson did. The key to the game was Ravens were more physical at the line of scrimmage. They put pressure on Goff and held them to under 100 yds. They sacked him 5 times. When Goff is under pressure, he's just not as good. They attacked the Ravens the same way they will play us short passing game and the middle of the field. They only had 2 pass plays over 20 yds. So for us to get similar results, we have to get pressure and play our CBs tighter tov the line of scrimmage. For us , Justin needs to run the ball well and stay away from TOs.
  6. I heard a former QB talking about the (generational ) QBs and then when he finished talking about their hype, he said probably the best QB was Daniels.
  7. Am watching Williams today and doesn't impress me that much, a lot of short passes, missed throws. Last year he was king with a good OL ( 3 drafted), better defense, and Jordon Addison to throw to.
  8. Was watching C Williams today and his play hasnt been impressive. (its called eye test) but did notice Lalatu Latu (edge from UCLA) and he has been impressive. He is 6'5" 265 at 22. He has 13 sacks this year with 1 game left to play. He had 30 pressures up to todays game.
  9. I agree with that for the most part . Constantly changing coaches every 2-3 yrs never works out. He has 7 games to prove his worth but the NFL measures success by wins. If he goes 4-3 or better, I think he will be back. If not a change will be needed. He has the same disadvantages that Fields has, poor roster and inconsistency from Getsy calling plays. If we only win one or two games that means Justin isnt playing well and Getsy is not doing well with the game plans and we will have new faces here next year.
  10. If we end up changing coaches, we should keep Todd Monken's name in mind. He was the OC at Georgia from 2020-2022 and hid first year in Baltimore and their offense is balling with a similar QB to Justin Fields. Lamar Jackson has 12 TDs and 7 Ints with 2441 yds. 535 yds rushing with 5 TDs. That's we should be doing with Justin.
  11. Do you guys think all fan bases are as fanatical as this community? Example: keep Fields- dump Fields, Its such a wide divide. I get losing incites people but we have to keep in mind that this is the first time we have ever seen a complete rebuild. It's usually a new coach, add a few pieces and we can compete. Poles had 17 of 22 new starters, 43 0d 53 man roster are new, 2 drafts. Why does everyone compare to anomalies? Houston, Detroit? This is Detroit's 3rd year, Houston has a great rookie QB with 2 first round OTs in front of him, decent weapons', a new DC as a coach. Detroit was 1-7 last year before they went on a winning streak to finish 9-8. This our 2nd season in the rebuild and have went 3-3 in our last 6 games. Yes we beat some bad teams but bad teams have easy schedules. Houston is on a run but lost to a Carolina team 2 weeks before we played them. This is Flus first head coaching job along with Getsy as a OC. Anytime we lose this much , as a fanbase , we want to blow it up. Flus still has players making effort, usually they start to just go thru the motions. Since he took over the D , they are playing a lot better. Run D is now 3rd instead of 32nd last year. we have a good group of DBs which is almost all healthy. He picked up Sweat to help our pressure game. I think If healthy, we can be a top 5 D instead of last as we did last year. With so many young players, it is just going to take longer to get up to speed. If we win more games than we lose in the last 7, Flus may not lose he's job. The last time we hired a new coach it was a OC but how did that work out with Nagy? Poles has set the team up with great draft capital and cap space. I think we are one draft away from making a playoff run. As far as Fields goes, he has some moments that he shined but many bad moments. Is it fair to him to judge his growth with a bad roster and spotty coaching? I think not.
  12. Listen to Olin on the SCORE today and he made a good point with Justin, he needs to show up late in games 3 or 4 times and they win some of those games. That's what good QBs do. It's about Prime time playing, then we will know if he's the real deal.
  13. A lot of mediocre teams in the league, as soon as you think someone is good they crash. Philly is clearly the best at this moment. SF, KC , Miami, Detroit, Dallas, Jacksonville, Ravens, who knows who is riding high at the end of the year. Its called parity. If we can go 4-3 or better to finish the season, it will be a sign we are trending up. Only Detroit doesnt look beatable.
  14. It takes a lot of things to be a winning team. Upgraded talent will help, better coaching will help, good health cant hurt. For us to get there it has to start showing up now. A better defense is great but we have to start getting TOs and stop turning the ball over. Then we can get on a steak.
  15. Im already driving again and starting working again with caution. I know my body well enough to know it will be okay as long as I dont do trauma to it. Doctors always use the same timeline for everyone, I have always healed quicker than normal, now if I end up paralyzed, I made the wrong choice. That is where the positive attitude comes in.
  16. I get he has deficiencies but that doesn't mean he can't correct them. In the one game he threw 16 passes in a row, that can't be dismissed as luck. It would be different if he has never shown his upside but we have seen good games out of him. If you're doing the eye test on Josh Allen lately, you would question how good he is but we know what he is capable of. I'm hoping he does well and no question who our QB will be going forward but he needs consistency. He has 7 games to show it . It's easy to say a new QB will be better but thats so hard to find these days. Trevor Lawrence was the last great thing and he hasn't passed the eye test yet.
