Rapaport is reporting that the Bears are interested in Mike Glennon. Probably won't be popular, but I have zero problem with this. You can still draft a QB in the 3-5 range(I'm falling for Peterman personally) and groom him a couple years. If Glennon grasps his potential then you can possibly put yourself in the position to trade him assuming your mid round draft pick pans out. Continue to build a young strong defense early in the draft. I want Adams and Conley in the 1st 2 rounds.

Last year we signed Trevathan on the first day and then a few days later we got Massie and Freeman. In this post i am only referring to new players not resigning our own. So on the first day I see us grabbing a up and coming player going into his second contract. Duron Harmon/FS-----------------6'1" 205 He has been a part time player that has been good when playing in the last two years. He has 4 int. I think we had eyes on him having practiced with NE last year in the preseason and fits Paces mold for players he goes after. I also think in the few days following we sign Logan Ryan/CB and jabaal Sheard. I think these two are versatile and asce…

Seen a article that made many suggests on areas of need. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2693107...ee-agent-market They talk about J Gersham as a TE. I only see this happening if they feel other positions are more needy in the draft. So we would have Miller, but cant expect him to play everyday. Daniel Brown shows some development. Braunbacker still to develop. So if we add Gersham at 28 , he is a very good blocker and still have receiving skills. He wont be very expensive so I see it as a viable option. Remember we tried to sign him last year but went back to Arz riding a big year which they didnt have this year. Another interesting option is …

Christian McCaffrey is killing it, definitely a first round lock. Hopefully more RBs go in the first, which would be helpful for the Bears 2nd round pick.

Connor Shaw re-signed with Bears: https://twitter.com/cmshaw8/status/838037560798687233 Great signing, I think he has the potential to at least be a quality backup and potentially a starter.

Whelp, here's hoping Meredith is for real and White can stay healthy. If not the Bears just created another hole. So now you have questions at WR, an injury plagued TE, and 2 suspect offensive tackles. Not really creating a good environment for a rookie QB to succeed.

Last year is a blue print of what Pace does in FAgency. His first year he hadnt evaluationed the team yet and still had the previous regimes scouts in place. Last year he was in full control. Trevathan 4 years 24.5 Freeman 3 year 12 Hicks 2 year 10 Sitton 3 year 21 Massie 3 year 18 Freeman and Sitton are 30 years old but were upscale players, the rest are young and ascending. So I think this is what he will continue to do. Probably will get two higher end players. People in this category are : 8- 12 mil. Jefferson/SS Bouye/CB Gilmore/CB Trumine Johnson/CB Campbell/DE Okrung/OT I also think we gr…

There seems to be an uncertainty about the Bears this offseason. I personally like it. Nobody knows what to expect. A big hint, however, would be knowing what the front office feels about Pace & Fox. If they love the pair, then they're safe and have time to develop players. If they're uncertain about the pair, then Pace & Fox need to make things happen this year. So put yourself in the shoes of Pace and Fox. Assume you don't know if your job is in trouble. What do you do?

David Kaplan on ESPN Chicago said that he has heard that the Bears are scared that the Garoppolo price is going to be so insane and that the Browns will pay it that the Bears are seriously looking at A.J McCarron.

As of today , Russel Okung is available for hire. the top available LTs available in Free agency is Street Address : Andrew Whitworth, , Kelvin Beachum, Riley Reiff, Ryan Clady, Russel is 29, I personally like Beachum better at 27 but we have a chance to upgrade in FAgency not with a star but better than what we got.

This is the elephant in the room. The Bears have to get serious on this issue and find a solution this spring. Word on the street is this QB class is not appealing since the choices are not blue chip products. The current blue chip list contains Myles Garrett, Jonathon Allen, Jamal Adams, and Malik Hooker. The Bears hold the 3rd pick and have a token to take a potential probowl player. Quarterback is the most important position in the league and desperation will drive these prospects higher than there graded value. As a young GM, Pace will have to make a very difficult decision and it will be held against him the rest of his career, good or bad. He will either reach for…

I wanted to take a unit approach look to evaluating our offseason needs. I think it is pretty evident where we need help, but wanted to verify it with some comparisons (by unit). So I looked at PFF Rankings (and will follow with a few more) to see how we looked compared to NE and ATL. Here are the latest rankings I could find by unit: NE QB - 1st, OLine - 10th, Receiving Corps - 6th, RB Units - 18th Front-7 - 18th, Secondary - 3rd ATL QB - 2nd, OLine - 6th, Receiving Corps - 1st, RB Units - 8th Front-7 - 24th, Secondary - 6th CHI QB - 26th, OLine - 15th, Receiving Corps - 28th, RB Units - 17th Front-7 - 23rd, Secondary - 30th This is…

This years draft is suppose to be strong in the DB area, both CB & S. However, the Bears are so weak in this area I can see us addressing it in FA & the draft. On ESPN they are saying the Bears should go after Logan Ryan, CB from NEP. Unfortunately, it is one of their ESPN Insider articles, I refuse to pay, LOL. I did find an INTERESTING ARTICLE ON LOGAN RYAN when trying to find out more info. I think it might be written by a fan but I think extremely well written and researched, worth a read, for free ;-) According to the article other notable 2017 free agent cornerbacks include Trumaine Johnson, Stephon Gilmore, A.J. Bouye, Morris C…

The Patriots have put a price on Jimmy G, seems a little steep to me. They are looking for a 1st and 4th; what do you think? https://www.yahoo.com/sports/news/now-that-...-162636351.html
