But since the old messageboard closed, has some its members gone little bad with language here? I have read more garbage with cussing in it since the change. Is there any way to put word filters on this format? I know VBulletin has it as well as PHPBB. I admined plenty in my day. It just seems of stellar posters from the old board have gone south in thier language. I just thought I would bring it up here, being this where all the old posters from bearstalk come.

I heard on the SCORE that what put in a waiver claim for Tim Wright /TE but TB was higher on the waiver list. We keep searching for TEs, I wonder if they think MB wont be at minicamp next week.

Draft: The Bears Next 3 Opponents Vikings, Green Bay, New Orleans. We maybe come out 1-2 maybe 0-3, add to the fact that we are in evaluation mode meaning younger players will get more time. That doesnt bode well for our record but it helps are draft position. We are picking 11 as of now we might get lower than that not top 5 but maybe 6-10. I feel if we are in that range we can use a 1st and 3rd to Move up to get Jake Long. I really wanted to get Derek Anderson but i think Jake Long might help this team more in the long run. Rd 1 OL Jake Long(moved up) Rd 2 QB Colt Brennan (or another 2nd Tier QB) Rd 3 Used to move up to get Jake Long Rd 3 S (Craig Steltz …

Trade every player not on a rookie deal outside of ARob. I would put Turdbisky on IR and would even consider firing Nagy. Let Pagano take over and bring Vic back as DC.

http://sportsmockery.com/2014/11/report-ja...nearly-benched/ Interesting. Again, if this is the case, it really makes you wonder who okayed the Cutler deal. Did Emery basically tell Trestman this is what we are going to do and you will like it? If any coach would accept that, it would probably be Trestman who is very passive as a whole.

  10. This is it. The Bears are eliminated, but this game would put an exclamation point on the season. The Packers make the playoffs with a win, and miss the playoffs with a loss. So they have a ton of motivation to win this one. GB has the 13th Offense for yards, Bears now 15th. For Defense, Bears are 12th, GB is 21st. The Bears are the 2nd best rushing offense and best rushing defense per game. The Bears are #1 in INT (22), Packers are 30th (7). So the Bears have the edge overall. The Packers have the better passing game and screen game with Jones, but that's about it on offense. The Bears have the better rushing attack. Kmet's health is goi…

I say, OL(1st round if there is a 1st rd LT out there, move Tait back to RT), Safety(high only if there is a mike brown type leader out there) Linebackers(Middle/Strong even if we resign briggs. I am concerned Urlacher will never be Urlacher again. ), DT/RB take your pick.

  12. Please add your actual pick's name if you feel so inclined. It looks like we may have a top 10 pick...or at least top 15.

News on the Score was that the Pats have placed the franchise tag on Cassell. So, one potential option is off the board.

  15. Ted Phillips told the Sun-Times that the Bears would be on board with opening their books to the players' union, if that's what it takes to get a CBA done. He basically said they have nothing to hide and would be happy to go along with turning over their financials. They're the second team, after the Broncos, to say they'd do this. I haven't always been Ted's biggest fan, but this is a great thing to put out there. If we're ever going to get a new CBA in place, the owners are going to HAVE to cave on this issue. Before the lockout/decertification, the two sides came incredibly close (within $300 million, by some accounts) in money terms, but the owners' refusal t…

I really think this is something the team should consider for next yr. I believe he could be an all pro safety and allow us to cut strings with Mike Brown. The only issue may be his salary as he is being paid as a corner. Thoughts? Peace

Besides everything, he looked fantastic. IIRC, he caught every pass thrown his way. 4 catches for 90 yards + a TD is mighty impressive. Also, he didn't look confused. If he stays healthy, he's going to top 1100 yards and 7 TD's.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/chi-0...0,1624787.story I think this is a smart way to go about it. Williams is clearly the LT of the future, but after a injury-plagued first year, it makes some sense to have him at RT, learning and watching one of the best in recent years man the left side until he's ready to take over. Sounds like the Bears are making a real push.
