I would like for him to succeed, but he seems to be struggling. From the Athletic: Seven Shots Drill, is 7 plays from the 2 yard line. Trubisky is now 3 for 20 as the Steelers starting QB. One of the conversions was a Najee Harris run. Now this: Pelissero: Steelers now splitting first-team reps between Mitch Trubisky and Mason Rudolph

After watching this, I feel much better. QB1 is maturing before our eyes. Compare this to a Trubisky presser from 2019, it is night and day difference:

Forgive me, but what you about to read is purely conjecture. I am concerned about Mooney. Over the course of the off season, we read on numerous accounts how much time he and Justin spent together running routes. Fast forward to training camp and we have a rash of reciever injuries. Mooney never was on the report, but he did have to pick up the slack. While many 4, 5, 6 and 7th receivers are used for their camp legs, we did not have that luxury. We had to use our #1, giving Mooney a lot of extra reps in practice and all three exhibition games. Also, what role did Eberflus' "always hustle" mantra play into this? You know where I'm going. His legs look tire…

Starting out the gates +10 seems a little high after a 9 pts win and GB's double digit loss. Oddsmakers still have no faith in this team. Can you imagine if the Bears win and head into an easier part of their schedule, 2-0 while GB sits at 0-2? That would be wild. If I go off Week 1s results, I would probably say the Bears win, but going off historical data, it looks like GB should win by a TD. So I am going to say Bears by 3, 27-24!

Lamar back to MVP form, Fields can play like this, he just needs to be unleashed. Either DET is ok or WAS is terrible. Wentz is god awful one minute and looks amazing the next. Poor Mitch. 15-24, 120 yds, 1 INT, 3 sacks, looks lost. Mac Jones is going to beat him. IND looks terrible wow. Matt Ryan is done, looks worst than Rivers. Lawrence is abusing their defense, which is shocking, great game for him though. Flacco vs Brissett, what a barn burner there. First team to stay awake wins. Daniel Jones vs Mayfield, barn burner 2.0. The game of the injured RBs (McCaffrey and Barkely, who gets injured first?) Has anyone seen Brady lately, looks li…

Ok, we are about to start the real offseason and based on the latest moves, here are my updated game predictions: 1: vs 49ers (WIN, the Bears almost beat them with Nagy's offense, Fields will beat Lance) 2: at GB SNF (LOSS, this will be a close game but GB is still better) 3: Texans (WIN, a terrible roster, this will be an easy win) 4: at NYG (WIN, Daniel Jones is still the QB, a 3-1 start is possible) 5: at Vikings (LOSS, I have Bears splitting, could be a win here and loss later) 6: Commanders TNF (WIN, Chase Young tore his ACL and was their best player, I doubt he plays or if he does, won't be his old self) 7: at Patriots MNF (LOSS, this one …

We've had many discussions on how fickle the media can be, but now they are turning on Russell Wilson. He's been a media darling for a decade and now he's rumored to be a phony douche. He even got ripped by Keshawn Johnson today for screwing over Lamar Jackson with the contract he signed. The love comes and the love goes.

It is obvious that the SF roster has more talent than ours does. We won today because the coaching ghost of Tony Dungy is haunting Halas Hall. Eburflus is an even better Lovie Smith. SF beat themselves with penalties, while we played clean. We worked for turnovers. We stayed with the running game LONG past the time when Nagy would have panicked, and many coaches would have gone into desperation mode. We kept our coverage rule breaking route combinations up our sleeve until the 4th quarter, kept it close and then played the cards Nagy would have tried in the first quarter. Had they worked ion the first, youd have woken up the SF offense, and wouldnt have those plays n…

LET'S GO! The Bears had the lead against the 49ers last year before the defense shit the bed. The Bears offense was completely broken last year and Fields still had a great game with some insane runs. The Bears lost 33-22 (Santos missed a PAT). With the new scheme and players, it is hard not to be optimistic because Nagy was that bad. I feel like the Bears offense will score more than 22, and the defense won't allow over 30 again. For my prediction, I am going with Bears 27 - 20. Fields, 65% comp, 285 yds passing, 60 rushing, 2 TDs passes, 0 INT, 0 fumbles, 2 sacks. Kmet and Blasingame with TD receptions Monty with rushing TD Bears win turnover b…

Watching the youngsters improve as the game went along was enjoyable. There is still room to grow but there are quite a few positives coming out of this game and I think the Oline's confidence will be much higher this weekend.

Poles could have easily protected him as he can protect 4 PS players. He chose not to. Despite my optimism this guy would turn into a good player for us, given what this staff has done with so many young players I have to trust their judgment. They saw quite a bit of him over the offseason so most likely he didn't fit within the culture of the HITS system. There is reason to believe that too because last year Graham said it was his fault he didn't make the 53 as he wasn't working hard enough. https://www.news5cleveland.com/sports/browns/cb-thomas-graham-jr-signed-to-the-cleveland-browns-from-the-chicago-bears Forgot to add that in his place the Bears signe…

the first half did have me concerned somewhat as nothing seemed to come together. the second half was a tale of two cities and it was impressive in the sense that this is a shiny new scheme with new coaches and young players who have never played together. they all banded together to get a win against a supposedly superior team. what was very impressive was that the niners were plain and simple out coached by the bears. 1. the discipline and good coaching was carried over from camp and preseason games. one of the differences being penalties or lack thereof. the talking heads can say whatever they want, the bears outcoached them and it showed on the field and in …

I know what i "know" about our roster this year - where the holes are, why it's a building year etc. I still believe all of that. But gosh darnit, Im excited for opening day, and Im gonna forget what I know and start dreaming. Lets go Bears!

Did anyone watch the TNF game last night? Allen Robinson, the WR Savior for the Rams looked exactly like he did last year for the Bears. Running half speed on most of his routes, not blocking, and generally looking like he doesn't care. I saw a lot of people blaming Stafford for not targeting him. However, Robinson was getting zero separation. There was one play where Stafford scrambled instead of throwing it to ARob, but that's it. Playing like that ARob would've been cut with Dazz Newsome if he was on the Bears, he was that bad. Ironically, his new number is 1, the total receptions he had last night. Hilarious.
