If it was me I would have taken the one year deal....got on the field and played 'lights out" and made them resign me again earning the money!!!!

Sorry dude, no matter how much sense it makes I can't root for them to lose to the ferkin Lions. GO BEARS!!!

Real question is will we hire a QB coach and if so, who. I certainly hope we do.

Hear me out on this. Let's say Barber and Bell continue to shine and Taylor does a reversal...and Forte will not come to an agreement with the team. Do we consider trading Forte if we can get the right offer (I would say a 1st round pick)? I love Forte and would hate to see him leave but running backs are a dime a dozen. I remember when the Broncos had a different thousand yard rusher 4 years in a row. Thoughts?? Peace

It's only the first quarter but Kyle's longer passes look to be coming out quicker and more accurate than usual. Hope it's the begining of a trend...

Rookies and QBs are in the house with the rest of the team joining them on Tue. https://bearswire.usatoday.com/2023/07/22/bears-rookies-quarterbacks-report-to-training-camp-2023/

I remember a few years back, most likely on the other board, a lot of people were saying (me included) that the Bears are trying to model themselves after the New England Patriots. This was brought up because the Bears weren't targeting big name FA's. The Patriots were winning Superbowls left and right, built there team through the draft, plugged holes with either mid level FA's or older vets that wanted to come for a shot at a title. When one of their players became a nuisance about getting more money, they let that player go. Now after thinking about that thread, I look at what the Patriots have been doing the last two years. It seems like they have flipped t…

Just heard on the Score that the cards are willing to trade Boldin for a mid to late 1st rd pick. Good idea?

Seems like no matter what topic I read here, I read something about cutting Marty Booker? I just don't get it. The guy set almost every receiving record in Chicago Bears history in the time he was here. He's back now. No, he didn't light up the league while he was in Miami. He did probably match about what any receiver had did here though during that time with comparable QB''n. If the Bears were going to cut underachieving veterans based on preseason games, then basically the whole famed Bears defense would be cut. It was out of the coaches mouth that his roster spot was safe. They had what, like 8 more receivers they had to evaluate this offseason. He didn't play i…

I heard they signed him for one year, at MLB

It seems the Williams brothers will be playing against us and I think our best way to defeat them is to wear them down by using the no-huddle offense quite a bit during the game.

After Cutler came out and made statements about the OLine, Webb told the press he would be ready to play that all off season he has been "eating and drinking football" and has Cutlers back. It thats the case, last year he must have been on a fasting diet.

after watching that game last night, I think we are gonna get our tails handed to us..

I am glad Poles didn't get an itchy trigger finger and burn down his draft capital with a trade up. Now the Bears have 2 picks in the next 9 picks. I assume that Sanders will go before the Bears pick, so there will only be 6 players taken by the time the Bears pick twice. RB - Henderson, Judkins, Johnson, Skattebo WR - Higgins, Noel, Burden, Harris OT - Ersery IOL - Wilson, Savaiinaea DT - Alexander, Turner, Norman-Lott Edge - Green, Ezeiruaku, Scourton, Jackson, Tuimoloau LB - Schwesinger CB - Johnson (injury concerns), Revel, Amos S - Emmanwori, Winston, Watts The 4 players in bold have a first-round grade and Green and Johnson were both…

How the hell did we lose to the Vikings last week?????? Damn, damn, damn!!!! Peace

This is it. Foles and Graham? That's the answer. We get an upgrade with Quinn over Floyd, a slight downgrade at rotational ILB, and probably CB and S. Our TE room is still weak and we have no RG and our OT's suck. Adding Foles did nothing to improve QB unless you consider him an upgrade over Daniel. I feel like this is it for Pace. He failed on every first-round pick outside of Smith and the jury is still out on him after that weird situation last year. I can see Smith being one of those players that retires young. White, Floyd, Trubisky, and Shaheen. Epic early draft failures. Then he gives up the remaining capital for Mack, which didn't win us anything. Now we are …

I came across a new site that really impresses me. How often do you find a draft site that gives a 7 round mock draft with "what if" scenerios and updates it's projection frequently getting readers inputs and adjusting team needs charts as the off-season progresses? That is what I found at Draft Tek Sports Information Web Site. There I found a 7 Round Draft Simulation that rocked. I did not necessarily agree with all the selections but found it to be one of the most credible mock drafts I have come across and am anxious to see the future updates to this mock as we progress through the free agency period and teams needs change as a result. I hope you guys e…
