Somehow, someway. 5-1 after 6 games. The defense has been elite. The refs have really cost the team a ton of points. Nagy needs to just be the HC and we need a new coordinator.

The math can begin.

I'm seeing breaking news reports that Aaron Rodgers is possibly wanting GB to trade him. Things have been slowly devolving there concerning his contract past the 2021 season. How crazy is this. Per Adam Schefter that Rodgers is so disgruntled that he has told some members of the organization that he does not want to return to the team. Curious what it would take. Wouldn't the Packers have to take a huge cap hit to trade him? I know his guaranteed money is all paid out after 2021 and they could even cut him (not that they would) next year with no hit. Holy crap what timing for that story to come out as the 2021 draft starts tonight.

According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, the is an unnamed league source suggesting Goldman is considering retiring at the ripe age of 27? Seriously? I certainly hope not. We need this guy back out on the field. It sounds like Bears NT Eddie Goldman’s future is in doubt

According to Brad Biggs, Bears have signed Corbin Bryant--Northwestern--DT http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft/playe...4/corbin-bryant Ricky Henry--Nebraska--OG http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft/playe...0/richard-henry

"The 1st team unit looked like this: LT Frank Omiyale, LG Chris Williams, C Roberto Garza, RG Lance Louis, RT J’Marcus Webb" Somehow, the OL got WORSE. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2011/07/30/bea...st-day-of-camp/

I'm thinking somewhere between 15-20. Does anyone know? Peace

I've restarted the FFL2 from last year. If you were in the league last year, please register. That way we will know how many slots we have to fill for the season. Also, we can change it to a keeper league if people are interested, and the draft time can be changed if the date selected doesn't work for a bunch of people.

STATS = http://espn.go.com/college-football/player...justin-blackmon Videos ------------- Would it be worth getting ahead to top10 for this guy? I personally think yes it would. This guy is unbelieveable. Would instantly become best WR on team (not saying much, but not to take away from him). Reminds me of Reggie Wayne and Brandon Marshall hybrid... I want no part of Alshon Jeffry, and Floyd seems like a total risk. Nick Toon, probably not a true #1

This an interesting take on who the Bears draft. It basically states expect the unexpected and that is what is going to happen. A surprise in store for us in the first round. http://www.chatsports.com/chicago-bears/a/...hange-2-9593154

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300000049...le-for-16-draft Question is, who will get him and who has the contacts to sell him on their franchise (as teams are extremely limited in what they can offer UDFA's). This of course is all pending the police investigation but if he is fully exonerated, I presume all 32 teams will be in an all out battle for a cheap, cost controlled last 1st round pick (from a value perspective). Clearly he'd be a fantastic fit on the Bears (and would probably start day 1 to be frank...he's better than Mills).

"Well Houston we have a problem" Let say we don't resign Grossman,Briggs, Brown(LG) & Berrian what do we do?

The Bears sent a representative to the Pro Day workout of Delaware QB Joe Flacco but not to the workout of Kentucky QB Andre Woodson

The San Francisco 49ers announced on Saturday that WR Darrell Jackson has been waived. “I always had a great deal of respect for Darrell as a player in the NFL," said head coach Mike Nolan. "I appreciated his dedication and work ethic during his season with the 49ers. He always had a positive attitude every day he came to work. While we are going in a different direction, I know he can still produce and be an asset to an NFL team this year.” Jackson joined the 49ers on a draft day trade with the Seattle Seahawks last April. Jackson started 15 games for San Francisco in 2007 and finished third on the team with 497 receiving yards and fourth with 46 recept…

As I'm a bit bored speculating on the draft at the moment, I thought it might be fun to start a thread...and eventually get a consesnus on an All time Bears Roster. If you would so indulge me, I think only listing the starters at the below positions would be necessary. I'd love to get the player's name and why you feel he's the one. Feel free to list one's that were honerable mentions, but you can only vote for one per se... I figure I can set up a poll for any that aren't clear cut winners. Here's the listing O-D-ST. I'll list my picks a bit later... The only rule is that the player had to be a starter on the Bears for at least a season... We will assume he's…

But since the old messageboard closed, has some its members gone little bad with language here? I have read more garbage with cussing in it since the change. Is there any way to put word filters on this format? I know VBulletin has it as well as PHPBB. I admined plenty in my day. It just seems of stellar posters from the old board have gone south in thier language. I just thought I would bring it up here, being this where all the old posters from bearstalk come.

According to the SCORE, he had his knee scoped and he'll be out for a bit. Didn't hear specifics on the injury. In other breaking news, William Perry is fat.

I can see either any of the three RBs currently on roster being the primary RB, but I don't think any will get a ton of carries. I think it'll be a three-headed monster this year, with Forte slowly getting more carries by year's end. What I'd love to see is Wolfe get the majority of the carries in the beginning of the year. We've already seen what Peterson can do, and I love the guy, but he's not capable of doing anything spectacular in the NFL from what we've seen. Wolfe, on the other hand, could cause some serious damage and break off long runs/catches. He's a wild card, a guy that the defense could have problems with. What do you want to see? What do you…

Right now we have a good team shaping up. But we could be even better if we got rid of Metcalf and went out and signed C/G Bentley. We just might lose Manning Jr, but we are good in the depth in the back secondary. We don't need Lynch....too slow now. If we are going to pick up a QB Farve would be a great addition, or Culpepper would be better if Farve didn't fall to us. I just don't like the idea of Henine being a starter if Rex/Orton get hurt. We know pepper could be the man with all the targets we have to throw to. Jones was my pick out of the RB'S
