They are done. Cutler killed us tonight. The defense actually played ok but they cannot dig themselves out of this hole. Way too many injuries. This is not our season. Time to see the younger players so they get game experience. Peace

Never been, but had a nice time Friday afternoon. It's hard to come away with much after two hours in shorts, but here's what I saw: 1) Bell makes this team, Chester Taylor does not. Bell consistently hit the holes hard. Taylor, on the other hand, was on the ground way too much. Considering his salary and the way Barber is playing (impressive in person as well), I don't see how Taylor stays. 2) Mike Holmes is doing everything he can to make this team. He was one of the most fan-friendly players I saw, talking to fans on his way out and signing a bunch on his way back from the locker room. 1. Corey Wootton looked great. I would not be shocked if he has 10+ sacks this year. 2. Henry Melton looked great as well. 3. J'Marcus Webb is horrible. On the first 4 non-run plays in the 11-on-11 drills, he gave up 3 sacks. Like bowlingtwig said, this has to become a competition. Scott did fairly well last year. 4. Kyle Long is a freak. He's strong and exceptionally quick. Now the question is, can he block consistently? That wasn't the issue today, but it remains a question due to how raw he truly is still. 5. 1. Cutler looked good and bad at times. Urlacher had a nice pick vs Cutler but Cutler had 2 great throws, one deep slant to Williams and another streak down the sideline to Hester. 2. This is the 10th year I've been to training camp and I enjoyed it as usual, although it was limited with no pads. 1. D.J. Moore was the first guy out and shook hands with people for 20 minutes. Good guy. 2. When practice was starting, I saw JA & Lovie having a serious discussion between the fields. Lovie then went to Tice. I figured then it was about Kreutz. 3. It's been said many times in many forms this year already...but dang! I am just so happy with the direction this team is going! They are good and likable! Who knows what the playoffs has in store and how the team performs. All I know, is I like our chances this round, and feel we have more than a "puncher's chance" if we are able to progress. At the start of Free Agency i was very close to jumping off the ledge. I couldnt believe we were doing nothing. We then make "THE TRADE". As well as picking up some new OLine talent. Now the draft has come and gone and now i am even more excited. Here is a list of things that i am very interested in seeing and excited about: 1. Cutler- enough said 2. Has there been any movement on a long term deal with Forte? I'm listening to the conference call and they mentioned that Forte and his agent indicated they felt disrespected by the signing of Michael Bush. Are the Bears and Forte that far apart that we haven't seen a deal yet. Was the Bush signing to give the bears a good 1-2 punch or is it insurance should Forte's deal not get done and he holds out.
