Heard Trent Dilfer talking QB's yesterday. Of one of the topics, he said Cutler would join the ELITE club this year. He talked about his tougness and maturity. Even mentioned that his body language changed. We all know Cutler has great talent, but I saw what Dilfer saw last year. Looking for great things from JC this year!

Who do we take when Jenkins/ cb-fs Ohio State drops down to our spot. we have the possiblity of Smith/ot Alabama being there. The possibity of Maulaluga/Ilb USC dropping. If any of these three drop do we take them?

A year ago we viewed Chris Williams as our LT of the future. He gets injured in week #2 and doesn't play again until week #6 where he emerges as the starting LG. Can anyone tell me if he was moved because he sucks at LT or because we wanted to get our top 5 o-linemen on the field, which includes Omiyale? I've read LT is his most natural position. If he can be a solid starting LT, everything on the line becomes so much easier. Kreutz & Garza can still play (although not for long) and everyone seems to love J Webb. That leaves LG as the major gaping hole. Should Pouncey be there at #29 . . . I write this with the assumption Kreutz will resign. B…

Since this was the position he started out with at Texas he could be a good FB with this run first team because of his size at 6'3 260 and how fast he is. As you saw he can run back kick offs too, LOL so we know he can catch also.

IMHO the reason the 2008 Bears didn't make the playoffs was because of coaching or the lack of it.With all the moving of players to different positions, using schemes to put the LB'S at the line, schemes to use your corners in the bail instead of jam off the line, squip kicks, playing too deep at the end of the game with 6 seconds left, going for it on fourth and one by handing off to the fullback, not using Olsen,Clark & Davis(TE) in the red zone, running Forte bewteen the tackles 80% of the time and not outside more. Not using Hester/Wolfe on the little underneath screens to get them out in space. Trying to throw deep with Orton who was either throwing the ball too …

Levi Brown/LT/Cardinals is set to hit the market being he has 14.5 mill payment this year. He started slow but last year played well. He will get big money but is durable.

What if we signed Michael Floyd from the Patriots as a free agent to a low end contract at WR and draft Evan Engram as a TE. How much better would this make our offense?

Why does Kevin Payne consistently get a free pass on this board? He's far from our biggest problem, but I don't see what everyone else sees in Payne. He is a huge liability in pass coverage, and having him and Brown both out there is hurting our pass D big time, IMO. Payne does play with a lot of heart and emotion though, and he is very solid in the run game. But we need some sort of rotation of safeties so we don't have to have two liabilities in pass coverage back there on passing downs. We need to either take out Brown or Payne and put someone with coverage skills in, but Manning sucks in coverage anyway and Steltz isn't much better, IMO. I think safety is a …

Okay, so most have seen that we have re-signed McClover. Question is, what does this mean? Right now, Williams is dealing w/ a foot injury, and if McClover was simply added to compensate in the short term for an injured LB, than his addition means absolutely nothing, and he will be gone by September cut downs. If this was not the reason he was added though, the implications could be interesting. One, at the LB position, we kept 6 last year. Urlacher and Briggs are pure locks, and Pisa I think is a virtual lock as well. Williams would seem to be the next more secure. You then have Roach, Hunter and Freeman. We will be adding in the draft and FAgency. What moves does Poles make that will give us a winning season next yr. We cant fill every spot so we figure 9 new starters. Lets say we get the 2nd pick, 56, 65, and 101. These are picks that probably will give us starters from day one. Anything in the rest of the draft will just be gravy if they end up starting. I'd like to see the coordinators given the axe, with people brought in to bring in new ideas. Lovie seems like a guy everyone likes, and has had success, but there are definitely changes needed.
