So what are your general thoughts on the trade? I think Indy got a steal getting someone drafted that high for what is almost guaranteed to be a late 1st rounder. If Indy was looking for an RB, I am surprised a team like HOU (Foster/Tate) or BUF (Spiller/Jackson) were not in on this type of deal. Cleveland was already bad and just got a lot worse, so I don't know what their motivation was to pull the string on a deal like this now, especially if IND was the desperate team. This is a big game as a dress rehearsal for the season. Most starters won't play next week. Bears win toss then defer (never understand that in preseason). With defense on field first, Smith dinks and dunks us to death to right past mid field, but Bears hold strong and force a punt from 42. Young with a nice pursuit tackle across field, and no real broken tackles or long plays. Run defense very stout so far, 4 runs for 6 yards.

Its nice to see for sure a QB that is rating above 100's for 2 games in row. today Cutler rated a whopping 126.38888. Its looking better all the time. Now the O line needs a good kick in the arse and we need to sign Brooks with Hilly out now with Ribs. We should be good to go.

Normally an 0-5 team shouldn't make me nervous. Especially a team that has averaged 4 turnovers a game. But there is a huge difference between an 0-5 Giants team and an 0-5 Jags team. The 0-5 Jags team isn't accustomed to winning and the Giants are. The lack of depth at Dline worries me except that the giants average 56yds/game. Eli's deluded mindset is also helpful:

Aaron Rodgers has been pressured on nearly every snap and already sacked 5 times before the halfway point in the 2nd quarter. Bulaga is getting abused by the rookie Bruce Irvin similar to the Webb/Matthews matchup. This is shaping up to be even more of a disaster than what Cutler was up against last week, yet Rodgers remains composed and hasn't imploded. I don't want to hear any more excuses about Cutler. He's not the only quarterback faced with the task of overcoming a bad offensive line. Edit: 8 sacks and counting..

The media has said it, we have said it and other players have said it and so on... The Bears OL is not what it used to be. My flat out opinion is this. Fix the OL 1st and the rest will follow. I believe the Sinclair move to OG is a start, as he is more athletic than Metcalf and Beekman is obviously useless. I don't want hear the rookie blah blah either. OG is the easiest offensive position to learn and play. For off season plans, I would start with telling Tait to tailor his workouts and film study for the right side.
