Nall was a must IMO.
On any future needs, don’t forget Urlacher would “play ball” when the team needed money. Converting salary to bonus, etc. One would hope Mack would do the same for the benefit of the club when asked.
I think anyone calling for Pace to be fired the day after the Mack trade has issues. His drafts and the hiring of Nagy are also significant positives after years of failure.
Come on gents, allow yourselves to enjoy the good days.
I hope you’re wrong about this. The calls seemed to lessen as they analyzed the prior weeks. I think the way it’ll be called has already and will continue to evolve.
In a first year for the new coaches and with Mitch still widely an unknown I’ll be satisfied with 8-8. That said, this team has playoff level talent and coaches so taking it to the next level in a single season wouldn’t surprise me.
LOL (in response to the big balls comment.)
I like the addition but I’m always leery of signing a guy who refuses to sign with his current team. What’s he going to do to us next year?
The cost of two firsts will be justified by his play. Pace is definitely going for the gold.
I assume they have a deal with him in place already and aren’t just acquiring his rights. If true he’ll be on the field against GB.
Other deal points are important too but not as important as that.
Couldn’t agree more. His play was pathetic. Not getting more pressure on the QB and the least creative offensive play calling I’ve seen in years is on these worthless coaches.
Based on the results thus far does Pace deserve to be fired?
Loggains?
Fox?
Glennon alone makes me a yes on Pace. And the way he got ass-mastered in moving up one pick.
Fox is also already a yes for me but tough to judge him given the injuries we’ve seen.
Loggains is gone. Unless Trubisky really blossoms under him which I don’t foresee. The kid is good but not good enough to make this clown look any better than John Shoop.
The way the question is framed the answer is Howard. I'm writing off this season so for me the answer to the bigger question is Trubisky getting experience.
Guess I'm not the only one disappointed in our cutting Langford. Really feel he could spell Howard when needed while all these little backs are ok for a change of pace but not capable of playing three downs.
Interesting that Fox switched things up for Thursday. Trubisky gets the start. Probably meaningless as to who starts week 1 but it'll give him more time with the starters before the season begins.
