I agree that a FA could push Benson, but I don't see a draft pick doing it, unless it's our no. 1, and that ain't gonna happen. Benson's got his head up his arse so far that he belives he's the second coming of Jim Brown. No draft pick taken much lower than he was is going to have any effect on him. He feels that he's got Chicago all sewn up and he's not the least bit fearful of losing his job.

I wouldn't like that move. I think we should sit tight or trade down if it looks like one of the OTs is going to drop. We need to get one of the top OT prospects. A QB is for the future now that Rex is signed. That's not to say I would'nt want Flacco, but OT is something we need in a big way.

Agree ConnorBear. once we draft a QB--after rd. 1--Griese will be supurfulous. If there really is a competition in training camp, things could get a bit more interesting. I could almost break out the kool aide--almost!

I disagree Big Daddy. Players and agents know the drill: hold out until the temas give in. No player is going to take less that last years similar pick at that spot. Until the world tilts on its axis, the salaries are going to keep going up for these players that have shown squat. Now we know where guys like Briggs and Berrian are coming from--if an unknow rookie gan get astronomical $, why not me, a proven quantity?

The Trib is reporting that JA said today we wil NOT tag Berrian. That, to me, says he's gone. Is the staff and JA making a mistake and thinking that Hester is the No. 1 guy? I think so.

If we can get Rex signed, and that's a big "if", then I'¡d be all for drafting a QB after rd. one and letting him develop. We have to be looking to develop this position for the long term.

For me it was Sayers scoring six TDs in one game. Yeah, the Bears pretty much sucked otherwise, but watching Sayers and also Butkus . . . that was football. I also must admit that my wife got scared when I jumped up and yelled when Hester took that Super Bowl kickoff to the house. There have been some great moments for us, for sure.

Its a good scenario, but you just know that, with the problems we've had on the OLine in protecting the QB, and the importance of LT, that they will leave Tait on the left side. Ijust hope that the Oline is addressed fully so we can have some semblance of offence this coming season.

If there is one that we want I'd love to see JA deal us into position for him. But it is totally out of character for JA to move up in the draft.

Agree. It would be very difficult for me to see us drafting a QB at no. 14. Whoever it would be would want big $ and could be a pain to sign. I want OT with the first pick.
