I think they bring up Covey, adding a new guy that wouldnt play in this game makes no sense. Watts can play both DT spots so I think they just rotate Blackson, Watts and Jones. I think Jones has a big game against a rookie RG.
-
Love that kind of stuff.
-
I think he signed with Atlanta.
-
I think Blackson is considered the starter, but Watts may be the better player. Covey may have his earned the spot back that Pennel got in the first place.

Week 1 Official Game Thread - SF @ CHI, 09/11, 12PM CDT, SF -7 O/U 41.5

Its suppose to rain Sunday. Last year SF played Indy at SF in the rain. They basically will be attacking off tackle with the running game. They ran the ball well but never had any big chunk plays. They had 111 yds in the game. 13 FDs and a total 280 yds for the game. Deebo is sloopy with the ball, he had 3 fumbles. They had a better IOL last year than this yr, so the run game wont be as effective. The Flus D is a bend but not break and the TOs, (4) by SF hurt there drives. They also had a lot of penalites. I think in the rain with Lance he will be capable of a few Interceptions. They had a short passing game but only went downfield a couple of times. They lost 30-18 to Colts at home. They have a bit of a turmoil with Jimmy G reentering the picture a week ago. I can see Lance putting pressure on himself and be prone to mistakes. Colts baring put pressure on Jimmy G in the game and I think our pass rush will be better. I think this makes for an interesting game which will come down to TOs. If we have at least a +2, we will win this game. If we can run the ball consistently, that will set up the playaction that with 4 new starters in the defensive backfield for SF, we could get a couple of big chunk plays. -
I always try to be positive and look to what is possible, but I have to say, I am questioning my optimism with all the National press that we are (last place) (2 wins). I think it is possible to bring in NFL players that could be breaking out and not be big time names. Not all of them are going to hit, but you dont need all of them to hit. If one new WR plays well that gives us Mooney, Kmet, Monty, Hebert, and who? ESB or Pettis or V. Jones or Pringle ? Above all the growth of Justin Fields as a potenial top 10 QB and you have something positive going. Then Flus has been successful every where his has coached on Defense. The 7 to the ball mentality with the uptick in TOs and the defense should be a lot better. Last yr we were 4th in sacks and I think we could be better this yr with 4 potenial blue chip pass rushers. We added speed, and Justin Jones is going to surprise everyone. That is the making of a good defense. How does that not make us a better team? I dont get it? We will see how well Poles evaualtes the Oline in the first two games. If he has improved it, that will lead to some more wins. Add in a focused coaching staff and I see us winning more games than we lose. Obviously injuries will come into play. Hope that works out. Now its real, play ball.

They have a great LT, but the right tackle didnt even win the job last yr before his injury. They have 3 new starters in the middle. Its closer than you think. -

When I try to do that, it always blows up. If I have everything off , then someone near me bluffs it out. -
They litterly dont have the money to redo Soldier Field. Littlefoot is just trying to get reelected. When they redid it before, in order to get 70 thousand seats they said they would have to tear the whole structure down to do it. BUT the Park District wouldnt let them. Bears leaving is a good thing. When the only thing to keep them there is the Skyline, thats not a good reason. Easier to get to, even in you live in Chicago, many amenities, closer to Ohara, Malls, entertainment.
-
I think he runs for one and has two passing TDs.
-
My flexes are Brandon Cooks, Dionate Johnson and Godwin when he's ready.

Killa, your team is the one that kept taking my players before me in 4 rounds. You have a good team. In round 1 I wanted to get Jefferson, but RunDP took him. In round 4, I was waiting for Burrows who got picked but paniced and took Wilson but actually should have just drafted L. Jackson In round 5 I wanted Robinson, but RunDP blew me up again. In round 6 I was waiting for Mooney and got way laid In one league I have Burrows-AJ Dillion-Mongomery-Kmet and at WR Jefferson-Evans-Robinson-Mooney and Sutton. I was trying to get close to that same lineup. One player I waited and ended up with was Isiah Likely/TE/Ravens. He caught every pass thrown to him in preseason. 12-144-2. Ravens run a lot of 2 TE sets and Likely won the 2nd TE spot. Rookies rarely put up good stats but with questions about their WR group Bateman-Duvernay-Proche , he is going to get a ton of targets. Andrews their all pro TE said that Likely has a role in this offense. He is going to flash.
-
No that lineup is all my doing. I just like your team better.

The 49ers have 3 new starters on the OL and 4 new starters in the DB. They have a rookie at NB. If the center of our DL can get some pressure, their offensive will sputter. We will attack Bosa, not rated that good against the run and their NB. I see a lot of roll outs from Fields that will slow down the pass rush. We will have some misses by the OL but penalites and TOs will be cut back for our O to run more smoothly. I think Kmet has a big day and lots of targets to the RBs. If you watch last yrs game, Fields feet killed their defense. E. Mitchel and Deebo both are nursing injuries and at least will be slowed in the opener. With a new QB starting , their O will not be running smooth. Jimmy G coming in late will affect the culture in the locker room. A lot of existing players side with Jimmy so transitioning to Lance will be slow. Justin Jones will have a big game,( 4th round rookie starting in front of him) Brisker will keep Kittle in check. Lance will commit a couple of TOs. Mooney, Kmet and Fields will all have TDs , Fields rushes for 86 yds. 24-16 we win.

, this is off of twitter, let me know if it doesnt work.
-
I'll trade teams with you, I hate to see you have such a bad advantage of Taylor, Jackson, Pittman.,Lazard.
-
I joke but that happens all the time. What is really sad, many times its the pick right before me.
-
Another yr of following the leaders in this league. You probably dont believe this but I am in 3 other leagues and I always make the playoffs. I will give many people credit in this league, a lot of smart people here. I have a plan and you guys destory every round for me. It is hard for me to be successful in this league. Im going to have to buy a 5 gallon bucket of KY jelly to get thru the yr.
-
I totally agree that is their plan. It helps the Oline gain confidence, takes pressure off of Fields, takes time off the clock. They will do a lot of 2 TE sets because of the injury issue with the WRs. They will mix in draws, screens, jet sweeps and then use play action to go downfield. It will be a slow start but once it becomes successful, then we will have an effective offense. Injuries this week will be huge on how we approach our first game.
-
This is the biggest score we got out of our new players. He can contribute right now. 46 tks, 3 TFL and 5 sacks. They expected him to breakout this year, now , maybe here. Leatherwood has the biggest upside but that's 1 to 2 yrs away from playing up to that hype. I figure at best he takes over for Whitehair in one or two years. With Kramer in the picture for the next couple of years, all oline could be growing together for the next 5 years.
-
There will be injuries along the way that will allow PS players a chance to play. Poles has made some interesting moves. Definitely he's got game.
-
Here is Leatherwoods draft profile https://www.nfl.com/prospects/alex-leatherwood/32004c45-4173-2379-61f9-b62d58f5c85e
-
He can be a rotation guy who had 5 sacks last year. Minny changed to the 3-4. He had 43 tks and 3 TGL Also we picked up Leatherwood cut by the Raiders. He will earn 1.3 mil this yr. 400 thou more than a vet minu salary. Poles dont need first round draft picks, he has added two this yr already.

I think they can scheme to help the OTs on the outside with help from the TEs and the RBs. The insdie will have to handle their jobs and it will turn into successful plays.
