This is a big pick since we have no 5th rounder and you don't expect much from your 6th & 7th round guys. It's important we get a guy who sticks here.

I know this ultimately a he said she said but I am starting to believe Benson's story more then LCRA Friend sought help for Benson Concerned for his safety with police, woman phones parents to call 911 By David Haugh | Tribune reporter 12:12 AM CDT, May 7, 2008 Article tools A female passenger on Cedric Benson's boat Saturday night in Austin, Texas, was concerned enough about his safety after police took him into custody to phone her parents and urge them to call 911, the Tribune has learned. "I called my dad and told him, 'Call 911, my black friend is getting beaten up by police on Lake Travis,' " said Elizabeth Cartwright, 22, a…

I took a look at the roster and moves the team has made since the end of the season to see where the holes were in the 53-man roster to see where they will look next. Based on that, here are some positions they will address: 1. Safety - The team lost HHCD, McManis, and Houston-Carson this offseason, 3 of 5 opening day safeties. I think they have a chance to bring back Houston-Carson, and maybe even McManis, but right now the team is down 3 safeties, the most of any position group on the team. 2. OL - The team lost Long, Lucas, and Larsen from the opening day roster, but eventually gained Bars. However, the team is down at least 2 OL right now. 3. ILB - The …

  9. 7.5 dogs seems a little high, but understandable. The Browns beat a terrible Texans team by 10 at home. However, it will be like a home game if Fields starts. Fields will finally get a week of practice with the 1s and hopefully build off his play from Sunday. This is an interesting matchup. Cleveland lost to KC and beat HOU. Just like the Bears lost to LAR and beat CIN. I feel like CLE is better than CIN but HOU, with Tyrod Taylor and Davis Mills at QB put up 21 pts and had the Texans within 3 pts with 8 mins to go. The Texans had two more drives, a punt and a missed FG. So there will be opportunities to score. I feel like Cleveland's strengths play right…

Ok, we are about to start the real offseason and based on the latest moves, here are my updated game predictions: 1: vs 49ers (WIN, the Bears almost beat them with Nagy's offense, Fields will beat Lance) 2: at GB SNF (LOSS, this will be a close game but GB is still better) 3: Texans (WIN, a terrible roster, this will be an easy win) 4: at NYG (WIN, Daniel Jones is still the QB, a 3-1 start is possible) 5: at Vikings (LOSS, I have Bears splitting, could be a win here and loss later) 6: Commanders TNF (WIN, Chase Young tore his ACL and was their best player, I doubt he plays or if he does, won't be his old self) 7: at Patriots MNF (LOSS, this one …

It may not be the most popular route to go, especially because Fields is such a great leader and teammate, but this group has won 10 games in the last 34. A 10-24 record. Fields is 8-22 in those games and 10-30 overall. This is not a tough decision. There is no way Fields returns. For Flus, you have to win the Division before you do anything else. He is 2-10 in the Division. I could care less about the improvement. It was clear it came from player acquisition and health, not some Flus magic. The Sweat trade and the players coming back from injury turned the defense around. Playing CAR, ATL, and ARZ helped. Also playing MIN with Dobbs. They are 1-3 in the last 4 game…

  12. Andy Dalton, Old QB1 Revenge Game. He just lost to his first team, CIN this week. CAR gave up 34 pts to CIN. CAR has a bad defense and a bad offense, and an overall worse team than LAR. They have allowed 47, 26, 22, and 34 so far. Their defense allows 35 pts on the road. Every team has scored at least 3 TDs against CAR this season. I am calling it now, Bears 31-16. CAR averages 18 pts a game and allows 32 pts per game so far thru 4 weeks. Defense now has 2 weeks of Andy Dalton tape.

Nathan Vasher is "all but out of the mix" at cornerback for the Bears, according to the Chicago Tribune. The Tribune points out that Vasher's tackling skills have declined. He also isn't ideally built to play cornerback in the Bears' scheme at only 5'10/180. The Bears are expected to consider a corner with the No. 18 overall pick. http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune....-the-draft.html

After this game the Bears schedule gets suddenly brutal. This is both a trap game and effectively a must win...Win this and you've gone 7-1 in the first half, and a 4-4 finish puts you in the playoffs almost guaranteed. Lose this, and Houston and San Francisco can make you a losing streak.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/...him-in-round-1/ Don't know what to make of this. PFT is known for sensationalizing everything. Earlier today they had an article dedicated to saying the Bears took Long with Suh in mind. Well duh. They took him with lots of D Linemen in mind, you dolts. I assume Carimi makes the lineup assuming he's healthy. And that's not certain.

  18. It's here! 5 days from kickoff. Who's pumped up? This is the most excited I have been for a season to start in a long time. This team has one of the best rosters and coaching staffs in the NFL. We have guys fully healthy (Robinson, Miller, Long, Floyd, Shaheen), with up and coming stars (Smith, RRH, Nichols) and fresh blood (Montgomery) to go with a stacked roster of Pro Bowlers. I can't see the Bears losing this one. GB and Rodgers in a new system while the Bears are in Year#2 with Nagy and Co. Montgomery is going to shine. Bears have too many weapons on offense and beasts on defense. The Bears are only favored by 3, which means Vegas sees these as even teams.…

Here we go, I am so pumped for this game. The last 4 games have been so demoralizing watching Glennon. I know there will be some ups and downs, but I am excited to see the kid play. I just hope they don't do what they did in the last preseason game and run 10+ straight plays with Trubisky handing off to start the game. Instead, we need a bootleg or some movement where he only has to read half the field. The threat of him running and his mobility are going to give the receivers more room for intermediate routes. Those were taken away with Glennon behind center. GO BEARS! Bears 27 - Viqueens 17 The Trubisky Era starts with a win!
