Christian Hackenberg and Dak Prescott for different reasons draft stock has dropped! Hackenberg who's former college coach has signed Brock Osweiler after many speculated that he and the Texans were the perfect match in the first or second round because of familiarity between the 2. Well not waiting on your former QB who played in your system in college is a red flag to everyone else also! Dak Prescott with sketchy details has allegedly been arrested for a DUI and that in itself has dropped his stock. As a QB and expected leader of the team decisions off the field factor into that evaluation process and this looks bad and drops him in my eyes

With the two ILBs and Unrein signed, and an OT to set the right edge, it worries me the Bears may actually be thinking about a QB in the first. What else makes sense? -Ragland and Mack are out in my opinion. -Way too deep at DE to spend the pick there. -The Bears best defensive position is OLB, so that wouldn't be a good move. I think the FA signings are good enough that the Bears have narrowed down their likely 1st round positions to: CB, LT, and QB. But suppose they are including RB in their consideration? The QB and RB portions of that really worries me.

A backup but we need the depth somewhere. Hope that lock down Hicks, would make for a good offseason.

Finally got one deal done, lets hope for Hicks and Gresham.

We still have some decent names out there to sign but the reality is there still hunting for good money. I think Hicks, Freeman, and Gersham leave town without contracts. Marc Mariani - WR - Bears At least four teams have shown interest in free agent WR Marc Mariani. Chicago is one of those teams. Mariani was forced into a bigger role last year because of injuries to Alshon Jeffery and Eddie Royal. He managed 22 catches for 300 yards over the course of 535 offensive snaps. Even in a thin wide receiver market, it shouldn't cost the Bears much to keep him.

Aaron Leming is pretty confident (on the radio right now) that Zach Miller will be re-signed.

With 7 career starts......... Proven zero in the NFL. Does that make everyone rethink the hated Cutler contract? It just shows you how hard it is to find a QB and how much you have to pay to get one.

Massie is getting 6 mil per, Trevathan 7-8, and Tracy porter 5, that means we have about 26 million to spend. DE is still a priority and we need to figure something out with the TE position. How the hell we going to spend 26 million?
