Go Bears! Does Fox continue his AFC West dominance tonight? Does Cutler break Luckman's TD Record? Does Langford outduel Gordon? Does Mariani have a legit return? Does our Special Teams not allow a return TD? So much drama!

7 point favorites, at home, coming off a huge emotional win. We need a win to keep our slim playoff hopes alive and get back to .500. I am going to go out on a limb and say: Bears 24 - 49ers 13

Will Trubisky get the surprise start? Can we afford another poor performance from Glennon? We are only a game back in the division and have yet to play a single division game. GB is beatable with a horrible O-Line and one dimensional offense. Without Rodgers they would be 0-3.

  4. Started by CubbiesFan07,

I hope you change your mind after watching this awful performance from Rex Grossman. Don't even say "It was the O-Line's fault. Field position. Good Defense. Drops" It was none of the above. It is the above, if the ball actually is within reach of the WR. I hope you get banned from these forums if you post one more pro-Grossman topic. /Rantover

  5. Both teams come in tied at 6-7, with only 3 games remaining, this has become an elimination game. The team that wins has a 50/50 shot at a playoff slot while the loser is pretty much eliminated from playoff contention. It really comes down to which one of each of these teams shows up.

  6. I am shocked the line is only GB -1.5. They must be assuming Fields will play. We don't even know if Rodgers or Love will start. It will be interesting to see the injury report for both teams on Wednesday. I assume Fields is going to be another game time decision, but GB may know more about Rodgers my mid-week. So for right now, if Fields starts, I am going Bears 23-20 and if Siemian starts, Packers 27-17.

It's game day. I would like to see Fields and the offensive starters play at least 2 series and hopefully score on at least one. I want to see Fields getting the ball out quick with timing. Main players I will be watching besides Fields: Wright and Claypool on offense. The entire D-Line and Gordon on defense. The media is going to be so polarizing after this one. If Fields looks good as a passer, look out MVP. If he looks bad, he is a bust. There is no in between.

  8. Chicago Tribune article: Fred Mitchell 10:38 p.m. CDT, May 3, 2013 The Bears have gone out of their way this offseason to find a reliable left tackle and to stabilize the entire offensive line. Meanwhile, last year's starting left tackle — J'Marcus Webb — has been spending the offseason trying to find himself and remain sober. The Bears signed free-agent veteran left tackle Jermon Bushrod and invested a first-round NFL draft pick on 6-foot-6, 313-pound guard Kyle Long, whom they think will be able to play either tackle position eventually. Several other offensive linemen have been acquired to generate competition during training camp. …

  10. Started by Uncle Buck,

Is it any better than last year? 38% of Cutler's pass attempts to Marshall. Only thing missing is he did not force one to Brandon that resulted in a INT. I am far from disappointed what with one half of football, but I hope the second half produces differently for the offense. Cincy's defense is good, so credit to them but, wow underwhelming 1st half offense.

Retweeted by Michael C. Wright Tom Pelissero ‏@TomPelissero 2m Willie Young agreed to a 3-year, $9M deal with #Bears that included a $2M signing bonus and $3.95M total guaranteed. I know a few guys here liked him, I wasn't that big a fan, but he's no doubt a starter in this league. It's cheap enough that we could add yet another DE (I want Babin). He's an upgrade over Wootton/SMC so that's a plus. PFF had this to say about him Willie Young, Edge Defender - Took his chance in 2013 to emerge as a starting caliber defensive end, really developing his game into someone you can trust to play more than just a situational role. 9. I'm excited to see what the kid has. Sometimes it takes a few years for a QB to develop, maybe after a few years on the bench he evolved. I just hope he doesn't get hurt with Ola, Groy, and Garza in the middle.

I'll be watching the dynamic involving Phillips. If he's there and silent or says very little, it's a sign he's been demoted behind the scenes. George should be the one doing the talking and then hand things off directly to Pace to make some comments and take questions. If "The Accountant" is more involved than that it signals he's still in the org chart above Pace and I'll read that as a huge negative. These two ought to be at an even place on the org chart with Phillips running nothing related to talent, coaching etc. I hope a reporter asks this simple question: "Who does Pace report to?" If the answer isn't George, we're screwed.

On offense I hope we run the ball and use a lot of RPO with Mitch. I think Green Bay will use a 5 or 6 man front similar to the front they used to stop Derrick Henry. From a 2 TE, 2 WR and 1 HB I’m hoping we can run the ball effectively and when we pass Mitch’s options are small so he can get rid of the ball quickly On defense I’m hoping that Johnson and Skrine are available and if we can’t pressure Rogers with a 4 man front Pagano can use some exotic blitz’s possibly with Smith and Trevathan showing blitz and coming or dropping out of it. I think having Hicks available will be a massive difference to the game earlier this year.

  19. This is a tale of polar opposites. The #1 Passing team in the league (TB) vs the 32nd Passing team in the league (CHI). TB is also the #1 rushing defense. So it is: TB Passing #1 vs CHI Pass Def #8, TB Rushing #28 vs CHI Rush Def #16 CHI Passing #32 vs TB Pass Def #27, CHI Rushing #7 vs TB Rush Def #1 So in a way, it is strength vs strength and weakness vs weakness. Bears lead the league in sacks with 21. TB only has 12. TB has 7 INTs, the Bears have 4 (thanks Jackson). TB has beaten ATL, NE, MIA, and PHI, and lost to LAR. So they really haven't beaten a team with more than 2 wins. In contrast, the Bears have beaten CIN and LVR, both at …

  20. Mark Konkol - who evidently is a old school reporter is indicating Nagy will coach his final game against the Lions. Will be fired after the game regardless of outcome. I can't believe this is true and if it is the case - you just do it (short week or not)...but if true, only the Bears could botch relieving its head coach this poorly.
