Are you a diehard Chicago Bears fan? If so, you've found the spot to discuss all things Chicago Bears. Discuss the Monster of the Midway right here as the Bears look to get back on track in 2024 and take the North and never give it back! Flaming is not allowed and all such posts will be deleted. Lets see what you think about this. The Bears spend some money and aquire Kevin Jones(RB), Bentley(LG), Farve/Culpepper(QB) Henry(WR). Would these players make us a better team if we got them to do the right thing(Henry)? Just a thought. LOL!!

http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/jets/jets_a...LPbOr7uPJ4GY3LI Pretty good article about how once again Thomas Jones is getting another raw deal. I would be more than OK if the Bears wanted to bring back Jones to finish out his career. He easily has another decent 3-4 years in him. They guy has only rushed for at least 1,000 yards the last 5 years (to include his last 2 for Chicago). Jones is one of those consummate professionals who I really never understood his being released from Chicago, especially since the Benson experiment never worked out.

Well, this was my chance to get to see the bears live. I should have stayed home and read a book. Anyway, some comments, Offense - Honestly, I am surprised we were able to score at all. If you all think they look bad on TV, you really do not want to see them live. Houston does not exactly have an all-pro defense. Heck, they don't have a good one. They have a couple good players, but overall, are not a good D. Yet we made them look great. OL - Holy crap were they bad. Tait and St.Clair were getting blown up. Whether w/ speed of pure bull rush, Houston's DEs were getting penetration all day. Also noticed how much Houston moved Mario Williams around. Nev…

Guys, I gotta say it. I love this team. I've been meaning to post this for a few weeks, but finally have the time. Our Offense continues to do what it needs to do in order to be successful. It is still learning Tice's system, as he is learning to be an offensive coordinator. Cutler is managing games very well and keeping enough drives alive for us to dominate in "Time of Possession". Sky is the limit for this unit if the OL holds up and key players stay off the IR. Special Teams is solid as usual. We have not experienced the spectacular, as we are accustomed to, but this unit rarely lets us down. Defense is the difference maker for this team. This …

I don't know if any of you have ever followed YourBoyRoy. He used to video tape Training Camp in Bourbonais a few years ago and would upload it onto youtube for the fans that couldn't make it there. Because of him the Bears Org. posted that no video taping practice would be allowed, yet this also forced ChicagoBear.com to raise their standards of the Camp Coverage on their site. Roy has never recieved even a pat on the back for this. LOL....but, he is also a friend of mine and makes some excellent videos breaking down some of the major plays in games and shares a lot of the same oppinion that I do of our team. Check out his video and post on here what you think about…

I had a few observations on Urlacher tonight that I want and second opinion on. One – he looked tentative Two – he was broadcasting his intentions to the blocker right before contact. Three – was leading to contact with a turned shoulder without squaring up Four – he looked like his neck was stiff or out of whack. Five – was not shedding blocks well. If anyone recorded the game and could analyze the first two defensive series, I would greatly appreciate it. Hopefully, my eyes were playing tricks on me or I couldn’t see well on the tiny TV I have in my bedroom. Not trying to start a rumor or panic, just want clarification.

With the news of the Rex Ryan firing, I was looking to see who the lead candidates would be for HC jobs going into next season. We may or may not retain Fox (still up in the air) after potentially our worst season since 1969, but I could see both sides of the argument. With previous HC experience: Tom Coughlin, 70 ys old, 170-150 regular season record, too old for long-term position? Rex Ryan, 54 yrs old, 61-65, seems to be more mouth than anything else Gus Bradley, 50 yrs old, 14-48, never did anything outside of Seattle Josh McDaniels, OC New England, 40 yrs old, 11-17, the Cutler of coaches, everyone seems to hate him Jim Schwartz, DC Philadelphia, 50…

    1. Melvin Ingram, DE, South Carolina ---This is a typical Lovie pick. He's a guy who could play some DT as well as DE; he's flying up draft boards. With Idonije being a FA at year's end, Peppers aging, and Wooton being useless, this pick makes sense. It also makes sense for another reason: right now, the Bears are 23rd overall in defense. 2. Marvin McNutt, WR, Iowa ---McNutt is tearing up the Big-10. He's the best receiver in the conference and is 6'4" and 215 pounds. He's a definite playmaker and could fill in Roy Williams' spot when he leaves after the season (hopefully). 3. Nate Potter, OT, Boise State ---If he's here this late, this is a steal. He's on…

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,6270139.story So, I'm thinking: Floyd Mercilus Coples Then who? Probably at least one DT (Brockers probably). Other DEs probably, but would it be: Ingram? McClellin? OT? I wonder if guys like DeCastro or Kuechly might be on their board (I would assume not, since they are unlikely to be available). Maybe Kirkpatrick? Guess we'll find out in a couple days . . .

Looking at what has been done after the season my top acquisition has been narrowed down to 2 Bushrod and Kasheem(sp?) Greene. I think both are solid players and will make an impact next year and probably take over for Briggs when he is a cap casualty next year.

Booker agreed to terms with the Bears damn near immediately after Jabar Gaffney agreed to terms with the Patriots. In other words, Booker was either hoping to land with NE, or he was hoping to use both teams against one another as leverage. The same thing happened with Demorrio Williams on Saturday. He was scheduled to meet with the Bears on Tuesday. The Bears resign Briggs, and within an hour he's a Chief. I find this interesting as hell for a lot of different reasons: 1. Those of us who follow the NFL "rumor-mill" constantly don't know nearly as much as we'd like to. The Chicago papers had reported the Bears seemed to have no interest in Booker. I h…

From profootballtalk.com: BEARS PLANNING FRIDAY VISIT WITH THOMAS Posted by Mike Florio on April 24, 2008, 8:59 a.m. At a time when most of the smoke signals emanating from Halas Hall suggest that the Chicago Bears will focus on improving the offensive line and/or the running game with the 14th overall pick in the draft, a league source tells us that receivers coach Darryl Drake is heading to Michigan on Friday to meet with, and possibly to work out, receiver Devin Thomas. Of course, there’s a chance that the smokescreen is the team’s eleventh-hour interest in Thomas. If the Bears can cajole the Bills into taking him at No. 11, or dupe someone into jumping…

If you look at the roster as is I think our DL is going to be a major upgrade over last year. DE- Peppers- dont need to say anything about him DE-Idonije- journeyman-not going to hurt you DE-Wooten- suppose to look much better than last year- good upside DE- Gohlsten- could be that speed rusher were missing DT- Adams- good player DT-Okoye- could be our best FA signing and inside pressure guy DT-Melton- the Bears think he is ready to be the man inside(came in at 262 and is now 295 ) DT-Paea- strongman brute that could be up to speed quickly DT-Toeina- good rotation guy LBs- second on the team with a lack of depth
