Anyone else agree that this guy hasn't been the same since he is considered an "All-Star". Don't get me wrong, he could return like a beast, but since he got the contract extension, he hasn't done anything for the team. Call his TD yesterday a good play, but I could have sworn he stepped out, but luckily he didn't. Overall, we're paying him way too much to get -6 yards on returns. He seems to stop running, then run backwards or straight sideways and try to make a big return. Before, he would just run for his life and get great blocks and moves. Suppose the discussion behind closed doors is contentious. Alshon is upset for one reason or another and he wants to move to NY to be with the rest of the former Bears (JK). This is the draft following the 2005-2006 season. To set the scene, the Bears had just finished with the best defense in the NFL with only 12.6 points allowed per game. They were also 2nd best in total yards allowed per game and 11th in rush and 5th in passing yards allowed. The Bears had the 2nd most int's of any team that year. Our new punter the 6th RD draft pick can do more than just punt. He can kick off and kick field goals as well. Bostic played with him in high school its said he made a 52 yard field goal in high school and kicked the ball out of the end zone 95% of the time with a 47.7 punting average. The for and against Fields conversation will go on until the draft but several things come into play. 1st we have to have the number 1 pick.. I think its Caleb Williams or Justin Fields. If Poles thinks Williams is the guy, he will take him. If we end up with the second or third pick that is out of the picture. Maye does not carry the clout that Williams does.
