This off-season my biggest cry was to fix the OL 1st. It was addressed in a big way with Williams, but has been ignored otherwise with a huge void in OG play. With our current situation playing out... Big draft class is going to mean lots of competition and some decent players losing their jobs. QB should be set with Cutler/Hoyer/Fales, but it's chaos almost everywhere else: RB: I'd be shocked if we don't keep Langford/Howard/Carey/Rodgers. Sorry Senorise. We have an OL with 3 new starters that need time to gel as a unit and will get better as the season progresses. As they become a "unit" our running game and pass protection will only improve. They faced 2 3-4 defenses in weeks one & two and now have that experience under their belt as well. We have a very young and inexperienced WR group that is getting better and better as they learn on the run. Knox & Bennett has exceeded my early expectations and look like the real deal. Donte Stallworth, current NE WR, now an UFA. He'd look good in our WR core if Berrian leaves. However, if NE loses Moss, I think they'll sign Stallworth. He'd be their #1/#2 Anyways, what do you think of this possibility? He'll 28 next November, which is pretty decent. I'd give him 3-4 years...

Per Len Pasquerelli of ESPN.com It isn't quite as good as him actually getting released, but if it is true it is good to see the Bears aren't thinking that this was just a bad season for Arch and that they can still plan on counting on him next year. Sans the oline and the hiring of a good OC, their isn't a more important need on this squad than the safety position. Since this season is already over other than for watching the progress of Caleb, I took a look at the 2025 opponents based on the current records and seeding. On paper, it will be one of the toughest schedules in the league again with only 5-6 "winnable" games. The strong division makes the entire schedule that much tougher. 11 games against teams at .500 or better, 6 games vs sub .500 teams. Per Vaughn McClure's twitter, VJax and Avril were our top 2 targets, but Avril is tagged. I don't put a ton of stock in this, as I really don't think Emery is leaking things yet. There was another suggestion from one of McClure's earlier tweets than the info might have come from a player, which would make it seem like it's just speculation. But hey, it's a juicy rumor!

Listening to Hub on the Score. I know, I know. Hub is FAR from a liked individual on this board, but is it unreasonable to believe he has connections w/in the Bears?
