I know there has been a lot of buzz during this last few game stretch where Trubisky has looked better. So I tried to see if anything stood out in this most recent 3-game stretch that was something we have not seen, at least from a numbers perspective, in his entire career. I did find one set of numbers that stood out. In 44 games where Trubisky had 20 or more passing attempts, he has only had a completion percentage over 70% in 14 games. 3 of those have occurred in the last 3 weeks. That really stood out to me. The defense has played phenomenal and the Bears have played hard all season. All I see are people constantly whining about the Bears coaches and you know what, I think they deserve a little bit of credit. We have one of the top ranked defensive units in the league after 2 plus years of having one of the worse defensive units in the league. Job well done guys. Offensively we've made progress each of the past two weeks. Martz has done better and Tice has gotten the oline playing better than it was 3 weeks ago. Hopefully the coaching staff helps the players continue to progress and we see the Bears continue to progress and win!!!!

The draft got us 2 really good players, the last 3 are a head scatcher. My suggestions for FA's. There is rumors of going after Cullen Jenkins, of which we will spend alot for. a good move Also I think we will go after a OG of which we wont spend alot on, so I am throwing in the name Duece Lutui. big guy and mean. Also Richard Mashall/CB/from carolina- didnt get a long term extention, and with being friends with Peppers, maybe we get him here. Wont be expensive

They were trying to sign him last off-season but he went back to Buffalo. For a 2024 5th rounder. Poles is going to have to trade down, down to 5 picks in the draft.

With the Bears finishing 5-12 last year makes it feel like a herculean effort to even get to a winning record at 9-8. However, turn arounds with much more wins are almost commonplace nowadays. Last year alone, 3 of the top 9 teams in the NFL all had a win differential of +6 from the previous season: WAS 4-13 > 12-5 (+8) MIN 7-10 > 14-3 (+7) LAC 5-12 > 11-6 (+6) I feel like there is less correlation from year to year than ever before. In the season prior to winning 12 games, WAS lost their last 8 games, MIN finished 1-6 with their only win a 3-0 barnburner against LVR. LAC finished 1-8 and their only win was a 6-0 win against NE. This might be one of the worst SBs in quite some time, offenses playing scared. Maye on pace for a top 5 "worst SB passing performances" of all time. Grogan had 177 passing yards in SB XX. Maye has 48 yards and has been sacked 3 times (19 net passing yards). The worst net passing ever was DEN in SB XII with 35 lol. He needs 65 passing yards to pass Kerry Collins for 5th worst of all time.

I don't think we win this one, but I don't think we lose by 14. Trap game for Philly looking ahead to SEA. Mid 40's for game time temperature....Bear weather. Philly is #1 against the run, but that may be due to their early leads. Overall defenses are comparable in overall yards, but Philly has a bunch more INTs and PD's. Again, this may be due to their leads and teams needing to pass more against them. If our offense takes another step forward and our defense doesn't lay an egg, we will at least look competitive. It would be nice to see both sides of the ball play well in the same game. PHI 27-20

As bad as our season was, the scary part is we're likely do have damn near all significant players returning. The only significant contributor likely gone is Wale. He might resign, but considering we traded for Adams and we're saying all the right things about Melton . . . As far as I can tell, that's it for significant players. Pace is gone, but he quit being significant. Vasher's proven to be a mediocre corner. Is it worth eating his salary now? Pisa might go . . . or not. Isn't Adriant Peterson a free agent? It's amazing that we'll have the whole squad back with most of our starters returning.

Didn't Detroit have the worst run defense, and we couldn't get 100 yards on them? I didn't get to see the game, so I'm shocked Forte only had 35 yards..

Looking at some of the talk about Mendenhall entering the draft, I got to wondering. What sort of RB do we want to add to the team to compete w/ Benson. Now, I know some of you want to simply write Benson out of the picture, but I do not believe that is the teams plans. So assume for this argument we are simply looking to add competition for Benson.
