Listening to Bill Polian today on ESPN,who knows a thing or two about drafting for a 3-4 scheme he said that he felt the Bears would bring a veteran in on every level of the defense that knows the scheme and will help with the transition. He was spot on and this was before the signing of Foster. This is clearly looking like they are adding depth and competition in the front 7 and still need help in the secondary at corner. Although a few mocks are starting to project Cooper to the Bears and I would love that but, selecting Waynes would be a long term move for the defense. At 7 he may be the BPA that the Bears do need also.

A year ago, perhaps two, there was a thread where someone proposed trading Hester. I think it was after his second season when he was about to set all sorts of records on KR/PR. At the time I was against it because I figured he was a marquee player and if the WR experiment didn't work out he'd at least be an elite PR/KR. Two years later I'm throwing that out the window. Right now we have a good team shaping up. But we could be even better if we got rid of Metcalf and went out and signed C/G Bentley. We just might lose Manning Jr, but we are good in the depth in the back secondary. We don't need Lynch....too slow now. If we are going to pick up a QB Farve would be a great addition, or Culpepper would be better if Farve didn't fall to us. I just don't like the idea of Henine being a starter if Rex/Orton get hurt. We just played 3 of the top 5 teams. The team and the coaching staff have given us some reasons to be optimistic. They hung with GB. The offense looked good against AZ until Cutler got hurt The Defense looked great against Sea in the first half The Coaches in my opinion have already proved to be 10 times better then the last staff. Massie is getting 6 mil per, Trevathan 7-8, and Tracy porter 5, that means we have about 26 million to spend. DE is still a priority and we need to figure something out with the TE position. How the hell we going to spend 26 million?
