My Scouting Report: The Vikings are coming off a bye, so I looked back at their last 3 games to see anything that stood out. First, they went 2-1 beating the Lions 24-9, losing to the Saints 30-20, and beating the Jets 37-17. Diggs had a rib injury against the Saints, DNP against the Lions, then had the bye. In their most recent game against the Lions, Stafford went for 25/36 for 199, no TD's or INTs, but he was sacked 10 times. Protection is going to be huge. Bears are currently 6.5 dogs in Las Vegas. The line seems about right unless you watched MNF. The Raiders looked terrible with only 213 yards on offense, most coming on 2x TD drives (159 yds) in the 3rd quarter. For the other 3 quarters, nothing. They looked like the Bears playing the Browns. So the season is over for us now, onto the offseason already. Aside from the obvious (Drafting offensive lineman) what else do you think the Bears need to improve the offense and defense for next season? Two things for me. One, a true #1 receiver-- easier said then done, but without one you can never be a truly consistent offense throwing the football. In 1999, the Packers hired Ray Rhodes and he as fired after 1 season because they knew they made a mistake. The Bears have made a mistake in the hiring of Trestman (would love him as an offensive coordinator). If things do not improve by the end of the season, he must be fired. Just checking in to see if we will be continuing our TalkBears Keeper and non-Keeper leagues this year? I believe Drunkbomber is the Commish for the keeper league, but I have not seen him on here in a month or so. With that said, are the past managers still interesting in continuing the leagues this year? Any other members wanting to join in?

Denver just waived him today. Still has to go through waivers. I don't think it matters at this point because the Bears are content with starting Caleb Haine but he would be a great addition as his backup.

Our greatest conversation for a long time has been how do we get better. We've been having it for 15 years and running. I'd like to take a slightly different approach and ask, what is best for 2024? We already know what the needs are, but where should the sense of urgency be applied for 2024? The reason I'm choosing this year is because I don't think we'll be ready next year. We are finally put out of our misery for this season at around 3pm on Sunday. The Bears played GB tough the last time, but have not been the same team in weeks. Just like the 2nd game against DET and MIN, I don't see this one going too well. Game time temps are supposed to be in the low-20s to high teens with wind chills as low as 10 degrees. I can't see Santos making a kick longer than 40 yards. I'm starting to hear rumors about free agent HB Nick Chubb going to Chicago. I've heard it from a few totally different sources, but no one yet like Adam Schefter. But it does make sense. One Cleveland reporter says he is hearing rumors that talks are heating up between Chubb and an "NFC North Team" without naming which one. It's a logical thing to speculate on. A copy and paste from another thread. I want to start a discussion on Garrett Wolfe. I think that Wolfe can be a solid contributor, and much more than a third-down back. Honestly, I don't see why everyone is so ready to quit on a guy who did nothing but look better than Benson and Peterson during his limited touches last year. I don't see why he can't produce like Warrick Dunn has produced throughout his career. If anything, having a smaller, shiftier RB is a better option behind a line that opens up massive holes for DTs and DEs.
