  1. Now that most of free agency and the draft is over, our Bears have obviously improved. What degree will the roster improvement help us? Our three win season could be debated that we were better than that, while others may say that we were taken lightly. So, as water seeks it own level, we sought ours. In looking at the improvements, the WR room benefited the most, by getting a stud receiver. Getting Moore places all the others where they belong in the food chain. In the background, it places greater motivation for Mooney and Claypool to produce. (Especially Claypool because we know how Mooney works) The LB corps is now one of the best in the league, after …

In total the ‘23 draft yielded 3 WR in DJ Moore, Chase Claypool, and Tyler Scott. Collectively that’s a pretty good haul for a single draft. I definitely believe Scott was best available when we took him. He hedges things a bit with resigning Mooney and to a lesser extent Claypool. With Scott on board it brought to mind a question about how would a team defend a 5 WR set. I include Velus in this not ESB because he is the better runner. Fields can run of course so we don’t need a RB on the field. You’ve got potential jet sweeps from either side with Scott or VJJ. Potential routes at all levels of the field. Going to a dime defense leaves a single LB on…

I've got a little time on my hands this morning so here it goes. Bijan Robinson is a bigger faster stronger version of Christian McCaffry. Why not draft this talent? Everyone is hesitant to pay a RB , but you really don't have to worry about it until year 8, after the fifth year option and two years of franchising. He's the most complete offensive weapon in the draft. Why not?

Gotta start with players still on the board: Kelee Ringo heads the list followed by those dudes below.. If the Bears want Tomi he's there for the taking. I think he's too similar to what we already have on the roster but don't mind at all if they take a chance on him. Other than him there isn't really anyone else standing out at the top of this list in terms of needs so a trade back seems appropriate if we have a good offer. DE is the obvious critical need but at this point in the draft the talent isn't there. Many of us have been clamoring for a new Center, myself included, but Greg Gabriel made a very good point after Rd 1 when he said with so …

  11. I have followed the draft long before social media but, this year is completely different. Every Blog I have clicked on several so called Bear fans are saying trade Fields and draft Bryce Young. First of all this QB would be like Tua in game 1 and why are these fans not thinking, we have a qb on a rookie deal, lets build the team and see who our QB is! Seeing all posts and comments on the Blogs and Posts has me drained right now!

Not many people project a WR to us in the first round, but JSN is an interesting prospect. JSN projects to be a Cooper Kupp type of receiver, due to his physicality, short area quickness and great route running. I was listening to ESPN 1000 today and the hosts mentioned that the need for good receivers helps develop a QB better than a good OL. (I don't subscribe to that theory, but they made good argument) At this point, I don't see is going that route unless we trade back to get him in the mid teens. That would also mean we get our OL, DL, edge and BPA in the second and third rounds. Thoughts?

Lots of threads speak about the draft. I thought I would stick predictions in one spot I think Carter drops and that's our pick. 9)Jalen Carter/DT 53) Joe Tippmann/OC 61) Mathew Bergeron/OT 64) Derick Hall/edge 103) I think he trades this pick to NE ( could be any team. NE is always trading picks and has 3 in the 4 th round) gets pick 107 and 117. 107) Chase Brown/RB 117) Riley Moss/CB 133) Karl Brooks/DT 136) Jake Witt) OL 148) Cameron Latu/ TE 218) Matt Landers) WR 258) Jose Ramirez/Edge He's going to make some later day trades but to hard to guess when Poles . Based on everything I have read so far. I feel like the following is going to happen: Only 3 QBs will go in the top 8, which might give the Bears potential to trade down. Either Levis or Richardson could be available at #9. For defenders, Anderson and Wilson both will be gone before 9. I think Carter goes in the top 8. Seattle or Detroit. That leaves 2 other players selected before the Bears pick, if 4 QBs do go, then it is only 1 other player before the Bears pick. The top players remaining are: Witherspoon, Gonzalez, Johnson Jr, Skoronski, Jones, Robinson, JSN, and Van Ness. With those players listed, the Bears could drop all the wa…

If he drops, Jalen Carter is the prize as a 3 T. Other options: Lucas Van Ness Calijah Kancey Bryan Bresee. Watch a lot of tape , he consistently gets in the backfield A Adebawore Keion White Tuli Tuipulotu Keeanu Benson. Not perfect but would give you more than Justin Jones Zach Harrison has the size and speed to do it, not the fit Zach Pickens more of a rotational guy but could fill in Isaiah McGuire. More of a rotational guy not idea Byron Young/Ala. Could be a sleeper Moro Ojomo could be a sleeper
