  1. http://www.profootballtalk.com/category/rumor-mill/ Schefter: Brandon Marshall Asked To Be Traded Posted by Mike Florio on June 15, 2009, 2:56 p.m. Adam Schefter, who technically still works for NFL Network but who soon will be jumping to ESPN, continues to keep his finger on the pulse of the NFL. Or, as the case may be, against its prostate gland. In a Monday morning segment with 850 KOA in Denver, Schefter said that Marshall asked owner Pat Bowlen to be traded during their Friday meeting. Per Schefter, Marshall told Bowlen, "I think I'd like to be traded." Schefter said that Bowlen asked Marshall to take some time to consider whether he wants a…

  2. From the Sun-Times: Cutler passes on chance to lobby for Plaxico Burress, Brandon Marshall Jay Cutler is ready to roll with the wide receivers he has on the roster right now. Really, what else could the Bears' new quarterback say Wednesday afternoon when the team completed its offseason program. Players will show up Thursday, but the final day is usually reserved for a bowling outing. There will not be any more work on the field. "I'm 100 percent comfortable [with the wide receivers],'' Cutler said. "I think we added some depth with some younger guys and then some of the older veterans are stepping up and playing well. So I think we've got more than en…

Turner runs that offense. He is turning 4000yd Cutler into Orton. Why is Frank Omileye still playing? That guy is either dumb or lazy or both.

  5. Permalink 9 Comments Back to Top Devin Hester wants to return to returning Posted by Josh Alper on February 4, 2010 1:29 PM ET It's been more than two years since we've seen Devin Hester break a kick return for a touchdown, but if the Bears receiver has his way we could see him get back on the horse in 2010. Hester was a guest on "The Waddle and Silvy Show" on ESPN Radio in Chicago Thursday and told the hosts that while he was happy to do whatever the coaching staff asked of him, he'd like to resume his role as the team's lead kickoff returner. "I know what I'm best at," Hester said. "The return game is my bread and butter, so if I had to cut back on my…

  6. We still need to address our offensive line? Who is out there? Use our 3rd round pick on this? Will they trade Olsen for a higher pick to address the O-line? Why didn't they go after Bolden? Is someone else out there? I'm still not confident with our lack of a go-to recieiver. Knox has the highest cieling of them all, i think once defenses figure Aromashadu out, he won't be as good as people think, and Hester should just go back to returning kicks and punts. As far as the addressing the Defensive Back situation- I would LOVE bringing in Sharper. He wont be that expensive and we saw last year how much game he still has left in him. I'm excited, but we still…

I really don't know what to make of this club anymore. I just feel that the coaching, the iuneptness on offense, and the lack of adaptability on D is a death knell. THe only shining star of the team is ST, and even Gould managed to botch a kick. Have the planets now lined up agasint this team? Did Lovie sell his sould to get to the SB? I'm just at a loss. From here on out, my expectations are rock bottom. We may start games great and roll into the 4th quarter w/ a 30 point lead, and I'll still be thinking, "Is that enough?" I initlally thought this team would go 6-10 from the pre-season. After the Colts game, I adjusted that to one up since we sto…

  8. http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/NFL/N.../wwhi112008.htm “He’s gotten really soft, leaving big cushions and whiffing on most of his tackles,” one team insider said of Vasher. “He at least used to throw his body around and provide some run support. Worse than that, he’s no longer making any plays to speak of (with only one interception).” Another declining defender who was particularly exposed against the Packers is NT Dusty Dvoracek, who we hear could be losing more than a little playing time to Anthony Adams, who many close to the team believe should be on the field a lot more after being inactive is seven of the 10 games this season. Said one daily te…

Got this idea off another board and thought it would be interesting to see your thoughts. What one player would you like to see the Bears draft and why. Try to include some player information/draft profile. (Please keep to players that are reasonable at 18 and with no trades.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Oher OT 6-6 322 Ole Miss [RT] (Even though this scenerio is very unlikely, some mocks have had Oher sliding lately and the Bears have talked to him.) Oher would be a steal at 18, even though he is better suited to play the LT which the …

I hate Mariani more than any Bear player I can remember in a while. He drops punts. When he catches them he has the vision of Ray Charles on returns. And on kickoffs, despite the team not getting any sort of blocking, he returns them when he catches the ball 8-9 yards deep in the end zone. He did it twice now in this Minnesota game. It's time for the Bears to go a different direction. This dude is slow, has iffy hands, has bad vision, makes poor decisions, and did I mention he's slow? Please replace this turd pronto.

  11. Why does Jay get slammed to the ground with his head pounding the ground but Aaron Rodgers barely gets his face mask touched and gets a 15 yard penalty. Officiating is a joke.

  14. Started by ASHKUM BEAR,

This is the elephant in the room. The Bears have to get serious on this issue and find a solution this spring. Word on the street is this QB class is not appealing since the choices are not blue chip products. The current blue chip list contains Myles Garrett, Jonathon Allen, Jamal Adams, and Malik Hooker. The Bears hold the 3rd pick and have a token to take a potential probowl player. Quarterback is the most important position in the league and desperation will drive these prospects higher than there graded value. As a young GM, Pace will have to make a very difficult decision and it will be held against him the rest of his career, good or bad. He will either reach for…

If I could so humbley ask, would any of you be willing to throw some stats together to assist a fellow Bears fan show how the Bears would indeed kill 'em? Much appreciated in advance!

  19. Hopefully Turner was watching how to use a receiver to exploit a DEF and how to take pressure off a QB. Credit the Giants D for not giving up because how frustrating must it have been to get pressure on TB only to see him dump it off to Faulk and Welker converting 3rd & long all day. I also hope Hester was watching how Welker at his size runs tight precision routes and was able to protect himself from taking big hits by getting down when there is nothing left to a play. Just imagine if Hester with all his talent was able to be utilized like Welker?

I think Pix and Connerbear are from the Rockford area. I've recently moved back to Rockford after a 15 year hiatus in the NW 'burbs of the Windy City. I was wondering if anyone might be interested in getting together to watch the first and maybe second rounds of the draft. It starts at 2:00pm CST on Saturday the 26th. With a 10 minute limit and picks starting probably at about 2:20pm, that puts the Bears picking at 4:40pm in the first round. The second round should start before or about 6:35pm with 7 minutes per pick and the Bears 12 picks in, it should be about an hour and 25 minutes at the latest before the Bears pick which makes it about 9:00pm for their cur…
