Wow, so he gets that type of deal as the #3 TE that doesn't play special teams. Very interesting. That seems like a lot of money for that type of role, especially with all the COVID cap numbers hitting next year. Seems odd to me.

There are some pro's and con's with Shanny, as there are with every guy. Let me ask you guys this: Bowles or Shanny? Cant decide Toub or Shanny? Shanny Gase or Shanny? Shanny Quinn or Shanny? I could go either way on this one Kubiak or Shanny? I could go either way on this one There is a part of me that is intrigued by Bowles after reading up on him, but then I think about hiring a guy with actual HC experience and tend to lean that way. As we have seen with Trestman, the Bears HC will need to form a great coaching staff. I wonder which of these guys would be able to bring in the best staff?

I saw 3 different mock drafts today from 3 different places and they all have Shaq Lawson going to the Bears at #11. The 3 have nothing in common so I gotta think where there is smoke there is fire. Gotta love how people get paid to write this crap: They have several guys on rookie deals, signed Reiff for $3M with incentives, Schofield for $1M, and Patrick for under $2M. If anything, Poles should be praised for doing that much with the limited cap space he had. Then he drafted 5 OL and 2 may even make the 53-man roster and Jones may even start. Then for WR, again Mooney, Newsome, Jones Harry on rookie deals, Pringle, St. Brown, Pettis on smaller deals. So if the signed Kirk to $20M a year over Pringle, would that make the team better? hey guys...long time no post. It looks like Shaun Alexander will be released by the Seahawks (Julius Jones and TJ Duckett signed to decent sized contracts), or traded for a low round pick. While Im not a huge fan, I think he has a little left in the tank and even thought hes older, has much more to offer than the backs we have now. Id much rather pick up a FA RB than take one in the draft; we need O lineman bad or nothing else matters and well be in the same position we were last year. RB's tend t be a dime a dozen nowadays and even a decent one will succeed given there are holes to run through (earnest Graham, Willie Parker, Ron Dayne, etc). I like the way Angelo is…

This is the most optimistic view I have seen out of the national media. Now I remain realistic and slightly pessimistic (especially with the schedule). My projection is more in the 7-9 win range, but 10 would have us on the cusp of the playoffs. So what do you think? Trib seemed to hint that he could be a guy the Bears look at. He was once a heck of a player, not sure what he has left in the tank. Tribune specifically mentioned the Bears will be looking for a lineman and a cornerback as players get cut.
