Seems like no matter what topic I read here, I read something about cutting Marty Booker? I just don't get it. The guy set almost every receiving record in Chicago Bears history in the time he was here. He's back now. No, he didn't light up the league while he was in Miami. He did probably match about what any receiver had did here though during that time with comparable QB''n. If the Bears were going to cut underachieving veterans based on preseason games, then basically the whole famed Bears defense would be cut. Watching NFL Network this morning they are saying that W Anderson will be signing on with the Baltimore Ravens. No news yet on the Fred Miller option.

In one spot I have Ryan Grant (who will probably suck against the Vikings, but I'll go with him anyway) In the other spot I have to choose between: Ricky Williams Senior (I'd planned to start him until Miami hinted Brown may get more carries) DeAngelo Williams Fred Taylor Ahman Green Kenny Watson Thankfully I'm loaded at WR.

Like many I have the Bears Official Website as one of my Home Pages, the primary (have Vista ;-() I was amazed at the change in the site. For years visiting other sites I always felt the Bears site was very "low tech" compared to some others. Now, all I can say is WOW. They have done a great job of improving the site.

Dante Culpepper sent out notice that he will be retiring from football. For those who wanted him as a badckup for the Bears, FORGET IT! LOL

The Cowboys may sign Bollinger after Week 1. He would have never made it to the practice squad. Dallas was the other team that tried to sign him as a FA after the draft. He is from Texas. When I watched him play against us in 205 he was blocking our line all over the place. He seems to be a good run blocker and that we surely need with Forte and Jones in the backfield. In passing plays he held his own. He is not a pro bowl player but he is surely better than Metcalf and Beekman. He is 6'4 320 so he is big enough to stop the likes of Pat Williams from the Vikings and such. I like this guy. Now with that Bowman was cut, IMHO if they thoght so much of him I might have had to part ways with McBride. Matt Forte will be the first rookie running back to start a season opener for the Bears since Walter Payton in 1975. Informed that Payton was held to zero yards on 8 carries in his debut, Forte said, "Hopefully I'll do better than that." Yes hopefully you will for our sake.

From Chicago Trib: Bears add offensive line help Vaughn McClure, 3:52 p.m. The Bears added some offensive line help Tuesday, trading a undisclosed 2009 draft pick to Tampa Bay for former Buccaneer starting guard Dan Buenning. To make room on the roster for Buenning, the Bears released fifth-round draft pick Zackary Bowman, a cornerback from Nebraska. Buenning (6-4, 320) started all 16 games at left guard for Tampa Bay in 2005 and he started seven of nine games in 2006 before being placed on the injured reserve with a knee injury.
