It's an ankle. No word on the severity. I don't wish injuries upon anybody, but to have him out next Sunday would be a HUGE boost.

It's been said many times in many forms this year already...but dang! I am just so happy with the direction this team is going! They are good and likable! Who knows what the playoffs has in store and how the team performs. All I know, is I like our chances this round, and feel we have more than a "puncher's chance" if we are able to progress. This is simply fun to watch! This is all free dessert with the meal! Cheers and Bear Down!

Man that was really some kind of free agency by Pace and the Bears. Excited we addressed a lot of needs heading into the draft.

This is what a Packers fan had to say about the Bears!! http://network.yardbarker.com/nfl/article_..._north/11231611 Let’s re-title this article Matt: “Forte gets new deal – makes Bears a major threat in the NFCN” – IF: 1. Their O Line doesn’t get Cut head decapitated by week 2. 2. Brandon Marshall doesn’t punch some stripper on the south side after a loss and get himself arrested. 3. Cut head decided he wants to put away the pouty face for a whole season (has not happened once yet in his career) 4. Their Defense doesn’t suddenly (and finally) give up the ghost and submit to their age. 5. Their new Safeties and CB’s other than Tillman …

  7. At the start of Free Agency i was very close to jumping off the ledge. I couldnt believe we were doing nothing. We then make "THE TRADE". As well as picking up some new OLine talent. Now the draft has come and gone and now i am even more excited. Here is a list of things that i am very interested in seeing and excited about: 1. Cutler- enough said 2. WR's- i have read a couple of times that Cutler made the WR's in Denver. I cant wait to see what Hester and Cutler can do. Drafting Enqriue Inglesias was huge IMHO. Watching him play in NC game against one of the best Defenses in the country was a good marker on his talent level. I think he could be great. I'm also exc…

We get a day off of work (at least most of us), we get to spend time with family & friends, we get wonderful food...and we get to see the Bears defeat the Puckers on national TV while the station and all involved wanted to just have a parade for Favre and all expecting a Pucker blowout. Bear the f&^% down! THAT WAS AWESOME! Turkey never tasted so good! ...and some whisky didn't hurt either. Happy Holidays, fellow Bears fans! Happy Holidays! It wasn't an early gift from Santa, it was straight EARNED. Well done Bears, top to bottom. From management who got us some good players, to the coaches, who have done a great job, to the pla…

Has there been any movement on a long term deal with Forte? I'm listening to the conference call and they mentioned that Forte and his agent indicated they felt disrespected by the signing of Michael Bush. Are the Bears and Forte that far apart that we haven't seen a deal yet. Was the Bush signing to give the bears a good 1-2 punch or is it insurance should Forte's deal not get done and he holds out. Also in that conf call they said he is going to hold out. At this point I'm siding with Forte, the man has played his butt off for the Bears from day one, has been the focal point of the offense. To me he's earned his pay day... I've watched and I'm sure he has too, wa…

  11. Something just hit me. Maybe Lovie really isn't involved alot in the defensive plays during the game and he's just defending his friend Babich? You rarely ever see him talk during games so I think maybe he should take over next week with the defensive play calling to give the team a boost. What say you guys?

  12. Being that i reside in England and only concentrate on watching bears games,i managed to see all the regular season games via satellite or streaming but see very few other games so can anybody give their opinions on jason brown baltimore guard. On NFL site says would have to compensate a 2nd round pick would that be to much?

So many of us have expressed dissatisfaction with Lovie and Co,. wondering on thoughts about next year for Lovie and staff. I was talking to my dad last night and it led me to feel that maybe it would be best to keep him on, he has been a good figure for Chicago and with the help of Emery in the future maybe he will have the players to take us to the big game. I say this with some trepidation as I am not a fan of his Defensive philosophy but overall he seems to do a good job... What do the experts think?

Was just reading that Burress is due to be released in June. The article asks "how well will he perform after being away from the game after two years?". I think I might have an idea; ask Michael Vick or Mike Williams of Seattle. The article also highlighted that he has lost some weight. New York has no interest in him moneywise i believe. Could be that big receiver for relatively no cost and no strings the Bears are needing. Still leaves room for a few OLmen.

Hi All, I was just thinking, what is everyone thinking about the RB position? Last year Forte was thought to be the answer, many more questions around that thinking now I would think? Personally, I think we make sure that Jones is going to be sound next year and sign him up, and then think seriously about whether Wolfe is worth keeping. Can he really be a significant part of our offence?

What is interesting to me is that the offense's poor showing has overshadowed a crappy defense. If we are talking about firing the offensive coordinator, we could call for the same dismissal of the defensive coordinator...wait... he's our head coach. Check this quote from Pro Football Weekly, when they posted today a ranking of defensive coordinators (this is a scout's take): "22. Lovie Smith (head coach) / Bears — Though Bob Babich maintained his defensive-coordinator title to coach the linebackers, Smith coordinates the defense, with great help from D-line coach/assistant head coach Rod Marinelli. Personnel utilization and an inability to maximize talent ha…

  18. We still need to address our offensive line? Who is out there? Use our 3rd round pick on this? Will they trade Olsen for a higher pick to address the O-line? Why didn't they go after Bolden? Is someone else out there? I'm still not confident with our lack of a go-to recieiver. Knox has the highest cieling of them all, i think once defenses figure Aromashadu out, he won't be as good as people think, and Hester should just go back to returning kicks and punts. As far as the addressing the Defensive Back situation- I would LOVE bringing in Sharper. He wont be that expensive and we saw last year how much game he still has left in him. I'm excited, but we still…

Till now I have been on board with drafting defense in the first. But with the additions thus far on the line and on defense I have been thinking: 1st Tavon Austin WR 2nd Best corner available My logic is that a Marshall and Jeffery split out and Austin in the slot with Bennett at tight end would give us a group of receivers that would be hard to stop. There are people on this board that will say that weapons are useless with Cutler on his back. I have to have faith that Kromer with the additions the line will improve. The quick catches I saw Austin make are very similar to the ones dropped by Hester last year. Austin gives us threats at every position …

BROWNS CUT SHAFFER Posted by Aaron Wilson on March 12, 2009, 6:13 p.m. The Cleveland Browns cut starting right offensive tackle Kevin Shaffer today rather than pay him a pending $1.5 million roster bonus, according to Adam Caplan of Scout.com. Per a source, Caplan reports that the Browns created $1.45 million in salary-cap room for 2009. Yet, the team will still be forced to hold $4.56 million in dead money due to the proration of the guaranteed money remaining over the final four years of his contract. Agent Alan Herman, who represents Shaffer, said that the Browns are still interested in possibly re-signing Shaffer. Ryan Tucker is expected to replac…
