So the season is over for us now, onto the offseason already. Aside from the obvious (Drafting offensive lineman) what else do you think the Bears need to improve the offense and defense for next season? Two things for me. One, a true #1 receiver-- easier said then done, but without one you can never be a truly consistent offense throwing the football. As far as I'm concerned, Earl Bennett is really the only one I somewhat trust at catching the ball. I found a new draft simulator. I dunno if its good or realistic, but Ive enjoyed playing around with it. Of course, without Free Agency it can only mean so much. It seems to me Angelo is on a mission. He has been extremely active this offseason, picking up 3 OLmen, A Pro Bowl caliber QB, tries to go after Boldin during the draft, now picks up Gaines, picked up a few other backups for DBs, and seems to have the cap space and motivation to add a few more players before the season starts. This is about as good as it gets for Bears fans. I can't wait for the next acquisition. I would not be surprised to see a few more signings before camp opens up in July.

This is a very creative offense. They bring out just about every formation, the wishbone, the wildcat etc.. Their unique running style makes Chad Pennington look like a Pro Bowler when he's really just like Kyle Orton if you think about it. I wish the Bears would develop a clever offense like this, that keeps the defense on their toes. Bring that OC over here

I think we can all agree the Bears will not be taking RB and QB with our first pick. So here is a ongoing list of the top 10 minus those positions. M. Fitzpatrick B. Chubbs Q. Nelson These are the three I consistently see in the top 10 as I view a ton of moch drafts. I will expand this as I view more regularly on players in the top 10.

The Sun-Times just posted some other notes from Bears OTAs. In the secondary, Woodny Turenne apparently looked good (you can see him doing drills in the rookie minicamp video, he's wearing #47) and Zack Bowman is back at corner. Apparently the move to FS was just a depth thing, like Idonije playing tackle since Harris and Harrison are out.
