Bears Promote Mike Tice To Offensive Coordinator The Chicago Bears have promoted offensive line coach Mike Tice to offensive coordinator, Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com reports. Though Tice has head coaching experience in the NFL, he has never been a coordinator. An opportunity to coordinate the Tennessee Titans was blocked by the Bears last offseason. I just heard on the "Tirico & Van Pelt" show that Arizona is now considering "2nd round pick and other options" for Boldin. Not sure what kind of contract he is looking for though...

The Bears signed defensive end Alex Brown to a two-year contract extension on Monday. Brown had two years left on his existing contract. Per NFL.com

It seems to me Angelo is on a mission. He has been extremely active this offseason, picking up 3 OLmen, A Pro Bowl caliber QB, tries to go after Boldin during the draft, now picks up Gaines, picked up a few other backups for DBs, and seems to have the cap space and motivation to add a few more players before the season starts. This is about as good as it gets for Bears fans. I can't wait for the next acquisition. I would not be surprised to see a few more signings before camp opens up in July.

What more do you need to see? How many more games are going to lose because of coaching? No team pulls losses from the jaws of victory like the Bears. This one, at home, against your supposed #1 rivals, for a chance to stay in the playoff hunt. Instead you lose in another miserable fashion to lose your 4th straight. Btw, GB blocked a FG kick last week to win, so you had to know they were good at it and should not have taken any risks with a long kick, but what do I know. I've neve put to much faith in these things, but damn they seemed to hit the nail on the head. Particularly when they say, "Has had some off-the-field issues. Does he love playing the game of football? Will he work hard enough at it in the NFL?" and also, "there are some lingering concerns about his character, attitude and speed that make him a potential disappointment at the next level." Wow. I have been a proponent of this idea for quite some time. I'm all about winning over looking good. I wouldn't mind a Super Bowl win with a team of "bad guys". With that said, the Bears should go after TO. The Cowboys are in turmoil. TO is causing trouble (what's new?). And you know J.Jones is itching to do something to "fix" the team. Thru the early games today, here is the current Draft Order. The Bears are literally in no man's land at #16. They also will be the only team in the NFL with exactly a .500 record thru Week 11. So depending on how things go, the Bears are only 1.5 games away from a top 10 pick and a game out of the last wild card spot. Not only that, if they somehow beat the Packers next week, they would only be a game back in the division. So next week the season is literally on the line in so many different ways. A win and the Bears actually put themselves in a pretty good spot for a playoff berth. Mainly because the two teams the Bears are chasing play each other twice (ARZ/LAR).…

What I saw from tonight's game with our WR's: 1. Cutler forces the ball to Hester when Olsen's out. 2. IMO Rashied Davis appears to be our 2nd best WR. Not good. 3. Knox & Iglesias ain't going to see the field this year. 4. For all the hype, were Riddeau and DA even playing??? 5. Earl Bennett can't get open. I know the obvious excuses: It's just pre-season, blah, blah, blah . . . I ain't buying it. Cutler loves big WR's. Go get Matt Jones.
