2013 Schedule HOME GB, MIN, DET, DAL, NYG, BAL, CIN, NO AWAY GB, MIN, DET, PHI, WAS, CLE, PIT, STL To me this seems like an incredibly tough schedule. The NFC East and AFC North are both tough divisions top to bottom.

It comes out tomorrow at 7:00 CT. My guesses on primetime games: @ Detroit, Green Bay, Dallas, @ Pittsburgh

I thought we could use a thread to discuss the current games, if anyone is watching. The Indy game was crazy, Luck got some luck when Brown fumbled in the Red Zone and the ball bounced off a players helmet right to Luck who dove into the endzone. Glad to see Philly lose, but their offensive performance against the Saints really showed how bad our defense was. Brees throws 2 INTs and wins. McCoy longest run was 11 yards. GO SF!!!!

We are pretty set now on defense. There will be one more opportunity to add players when teams start dropping players on their roster for draftees. So it's official, we hold the 14th pick in the 2014 draft. I see plenty of reasons to be excited this May when draft day arrives. There could be 4 or 5 QB's drafted ahead of us, 1 or 2 WR's, 1 or 2 OT's, and some talented 3-4OLB/ 4-3 DE's prototypes. That will hopefully allow our major needs to fall into our laps. I created a list of 5 players we may have a chance to draft. Out of those 5, I would be pleased with any of them and know we would have a difference maker. Just wanted to make one thread for all the discussion once the draft starts.

HOME NO, TB, DAL, BUF, MIA AWAY ATL, CAR, SF, NE, NYJ To me this looks like an incredibly difficult schedule. It seems like almost all our opponents have good defenses. TB has a good Defense and will have Lovie. NO and DAL are rematches. BUF and MIA are tough. CAR, SF, and NE will be brutal. ATL was bad but played good late and is always good at home. NYJ has a good Defense and is tough at home. I don't see any easy games. We obviously have to get better in the division, but either way it is hard for me to see us winning more than 10 games at best.

With the draft complete, let's now look at the schedule and see how this is going to play out. To me the first half of the season is going to be what makes or breaks this team. There are some really tough games, but if we can get thru at 4-4 or 5-3 at the bye, it looks like we can make a sustained post season run in the second half. There are many reasons why the Bears could go either way on the TE issue, but I believe getting rid of Bennett makes the most sense for a few reasons. 1. He has a $6M+ cap hit next year. He'll want a contract extension/raise, again, and Miller will require much less money. That $6M+ is way more than Bennett's worth, especially considering the following: 2. He appears to be a character concern. He's one of those odd players who wants to do way more stuff than just football, similar to one of the main anti-Marshall comments.
