Which Rookie QB should we draft to replace Fields?
Lots of players and former players support Fields. Playing the game or being in the locker room probably gives them more insight than an average fan so I have a tendency to value their opinion more.

The Caleb Williams story
I'm not a big partier, but Happy Ending is the most reasonable food prices I found. Lots of expensive places to eat. Have some friends at Cabo Cantina, so was there a lot. Salvatores was awesome food with huge portions, got 3 meals out of it. There's a huge unfinished building on the Marina, every place I mentioned is within 3 blocks of there. Go to Happy Ending first, you can walk out of for 10 to 15 a meal, every where else is double that. Around the marina everything is . over priced my friend did it fishing trip caught a Marlin, 4 Degauto first and a couple Mahe Mahe fish. Don't know if I spelled those right. It cost him 300 for 5 hours.

Realistic # 1 trades.
Had a brain fart on ATL, I seen the order of draft on great blue North draft report, I never double checked the order anywhere else. Sportsnaut website has the pick in three as pick 102.

Realistic # 1 trades.
Its nice to dream on enormous returns on trades but is it realistic? If we move to 2 with Washington. move to 2, get pick 40, pick 102. 1st next year. If we get lots of competition for one, add a player?

Free Agency 2024
WCG has a series on the positional breakdowns, seen one on RBs. We have Herbert , Johnson and Homer signed for next year. I dont think he brings back Foreman, played well for a few games but ends up adding a drafted RB. For sake of cap money, I think he keeps addiing a RB every draft. Homer played in Seattle while Waldron was there and he used him a lot in 3rd downs because of his blocking and pass catching ability. I think he adds a draftee to take over Herberts place after this year.

Big Board Consensus 2024
I think Maye probably is farther down the list. He had a great junior year but his senior season had a lot of stinkers in it. Daniels only had one great year , other years were not special. MT only had one very good year of which a lot of college QBs do . It comes down to risk factor, CW is the only one with special put on him. It will come down to character issues if Poles doesnt take him, he not taking a QB just for sake of change. The OTs are rated high and deserve to be but dont think they will be on Poles list. Braxton got better last year, had many penalties but only gave up two sacks. Dont think he goes there with so many other special players rated high. I think the rest of the list is spot on. I think he picks weapons or DL with his high picks after he figures out the QB question. S and OC will come later after the first round.

I agree with that but some experts claimed him to be the best of the year, not special but it just shows you , they make bad judgements and the only evaluation that matters is the one Poles does.

My Draft addiction (CW Edition)
I seen a writer say that Waldron run a lot of two TE sets in Seattle. Two TEs would give us the middle of the field, a place the Bears didn't throw a lot last year. Helps in the run game. With DJ and a big WR , you create havoc.

Which Rookie QB should we draft to replace Fields?
Lots of rumors this time of year. Journalists like to project.

True good QBs get on teams that are running teams first, it screws up thier stats.

Big Board Consensus 2024
He will take him but he has several options with that pick. It all has to do with his evaluation process, if he passes the character test, yes. If there's any questions he may view a haul of draft capital as the better choice. Its not a given that he's the generaltional QB, experts get QBs wrong all the time . The year Mahomes got drafted, no one thought he was that, and the experts from ESPN said DeShone Kizer was the dude. Its difficult to find NFL QBs.

Option with just one trade and get MHJ, good option.

If Williams ends up being the dude, you are getting massive offers for the #1 pick. If its Washington, there exists the possibility of another trade down for #2. So many teams need QBs, there may be another trade back. Multi 1 st rounds future pcks, multi 2nd round picks this year plus maybe getting players back. The question, does anyone think Poles passes up that kind of team building haul from someone that wants to build thru the draft. I know, do you?

If we end up getting 8 top 100 players in this draft, shit is hitting the fan in the division next year. We can only dream.

The Chicago Bears are on the clock! OFFSEASON OPEN THREAD!
I read an article where Caleb Williams actually said he was better than Mahomes. It was right after he won the Hiesman Trophy. The reason Mahomes got great was having a coach that developed him and a great team around him, PLUS his talent. If he was drafted by the Bears he would have never become the best QB in the league. I think Poles is one year away from building a team to have a plug and play QB the same situation SF put Purdy in. What might be bizziare is Bagent might turn into Purdy with a couple of years of development , wouldnt that be the bomb while we argue over other QBs.

The Caleb Williams story
North Carolina carries a notion , the QBs coming from there never suceed in the NFL. Its the same stigma that the Bears cant develop QBs. Its like OL lineman are always good from, Michigan and Ohio State. TEs from Iowa They all have some truths to them but nothing is absolute.

Spot on, what will drive that kind of return will be other teams wanting the pick.- Big Board Consensus 2024
Great idea, don't go anywhere. Everyone knows how I feel, I don't need to stick up for Justin anymore, a lot of members of the media do that for me. So until after free agency, no need to get involved in QB discussions anymore. I'm getting ready to go to Thailand, but ill still try to get the bears big board concept initiated.- Poles positive report card
i think we will be a winning team this year but agree we are a year away from contending for a SB, if that was your intention.- My Draft addiction (CW Edition)
It will be killer ( no pun intended) if we end up with Bowers,JPJ, Corley, dont know enough about the rest of the picks but i will. (minus picking a QB)- The Chicago Bears are on the clock! OFFSEASON OPEN THREAD!
They all could end up being good or a late round pick could surprize people. Kelce was a 5th round pick and took a few years to develop. To me JPJ may be the best rookie if needed to be a starter early.- Anything comments
I totally agree with all of that, there is no wrong decision , one may have better results than the other one but both can still allow us to be a winning team in 2024. - The Chicago Bears are on the clock! OFFSEASON OPEN THREAD!
