  1. I thought majority of time we arent even in the cover 2 scheme. Im going to go with the understanding we played a very vanilla defense in the pre-season and that is one of the reasons for getting torched. Now if Indy just destroys our defense Ill be a little more upset.
  2. If I was gm Id definitely just go ahead and cut Booker now to sign Jackson. Jackson to me is similar to Bradley in terms of potential while we know Booker is going to contribute near nothing to this team.
  3. In the long run Riddeau wasnt going to be a factor if he made team and if he makes another team will be the last WR on the depth chart there too. That being said I do agree that it was wrong to keep Booker who showed nothing, not ability to get open and I think a drop or two over a young guy who did impress.

    Starting WR?

Id think Hester and Lloyd would start with Davis being the slot 3rd WR. But I also see Hester being subbed out a lot in which id hope Bradley would take his place, simply because in pre-season even though was overthrown at the time Bradley showed the capability to get open deep.
  5. I really dont want to let Hanie go because he looks like a solid prospect, possible future starter if this season tanks. On the otherhand we cant really cut Grossman since Simms has no clue how to run our offense and with the O-Line we run out there its highly possible a backup QB is needed.

    Welcome to 4-12

I wanted DJ or Mike Williams. I was dead wrong about Williams, but in fairness I really didnt see him play much mostly bought into the hype machine while I did see DJ and Benson and didnt care for Benson at all. I was actually hoping Braylon Edwards would fall to us, but for that to happen the 49ers had to take Rodgers.
  7. the DT's were a big problem last season so I had no problem with Harrison, especially considering he was first round talent in the 3rd. Beekman looked pretty bad against Seattle but it was also just his 2nd game so hopefully he can improve as the season progresses. I do think we need to possibly draft another OL and maybe bring in a F/A in the off-season though. Assuming health, I do think the Bears can be a successful team though. The defense looks better, especially against the run up the middle, Mike Brown is healthy atm and we all know the kind of impact he has, and Forte looks like the type of back that can carry the load. Lets not also forget Kevin Jones was pretty effective behind an even worse O-Line in Detroit.
  8. I think very easily Brandon Lloyd could be cut and not make the team. Personally with Bennett on the team it seemingly in my eyes makes Rashied Davis completely worthless to this team and Monk adds something unique with his height and athletism that Davis cant.
  9. Id assume If Brown is healthy the other safety would be competition between McGowan and Manning. Really, it seems almost anyone we put out there looks good with Brown next to them and horrible without him.
  10. If thats the GB guy that Sapp decked, he publicly said he had no problem with what happened on that play and didnt hold anything against Warren.
  11. My ideal off-season would be to resign Briggs and Grossman first and foremost...if Berrian is reasonable he can also bring brought back. Id cut Brown, Archuleta, Walker, not bring back Manning jr, Fred Miller, Brown, and Moose. I like Mike Brown but this is something that happens every single year... its time to move on. Someone else mentioned I would have no problem in bringing in Bryant Johnson from the Cards... who already have two top tier recievers so probably wont keep him. A few other options could be Patrick Crayton, Andre Davis, DJ Hackett, and Devory Henderson. Plus, I think Hester should definitely be in on offense more. In the draft I definitely think we need to address the O-Line first, maybe taking two guys in the first 3 rounds... Depending on how good our pick is I wouldnt mind looking at the stud DT prospect from LSU though to shore up the run or if there is a stud safety. Other than that, O-Line... There are also some big F/A Oline members we could pursue in Max Starks, Flozell Adams, and Alan Faneca.
  12. For the most part he seemed like he did a very solid job being a backup and playing the time he had last year. I know he got burned a couple of times but who doesnt.
  13. Id love to bring back Briggs, but only if it doesnt take away from us resigning Harris in the future. Also anyone know if we are trying to extend Tillman or not?
  14. I think unless Briggs decides he wants to play the entire season, by the time he comes back the whole board will be in love with Jamar Williams. But, since Briggs is obviously 2 good to sit on the bench he or Jamar will go to Hillenmeyers position for the remainder of the season. Hopefully thats what ends up happening because that would make our LB corps a whole lot more athletic replacing Hunter with Jamar.
  15. Yeah I really believed he was straightening his life out, its 2 bad . I was really looking forward to seeing him next to Harris again.
  16. I think he will be much better this 2nd year. He did have the 2nd most games with a QB rating over 100 in the league in only his first full year. The biggest concern is how will Benson do given the full load. Ive always been a huge Benson fan but still some ???'s there.
  17. As a backup it increases the likelyhood of him staying healthy, instead of 20 plus carries he would have been looking at maybe 10.
  18. Im not positive but im pretty sure I read somewhere that he would be allowed to participate in pre-season.
  19. Damn Chris Brown is a helluva good back when healthy, its a shame we couldnt get a deal done.
  20. a lot of media people were surprised about the length of the suspension, thought it would be shorter. I supposed he almost had to go 8 games because if he only went 2-4 what would the guys that got suspended later on for 1-2 games for minor things say that they got the same thing as a man who went to jail.
  21. From all reports it seems 4-6 is what Tank will recieve. He supposedly left the commisioner much more impressed than that of others he has given suspensions too.
  22. I could see it now, Berrian and Hester running deep routes, Olsen and Bradley run a criss cross, and Garret Wolfe out of the backfield. Cant stop all 5 of those guys.
  23. Im not sure why release him now? Like why not see him in camp/pre-season b4 cutting him.
